RUFFWEAR, Just-a-Cinch Dog Leash, Slip Lead and Collar with Reflective Rope

This leash was recommended to us by a dog behaviorist to help us manage our overly enthusiastic 170 pound dog. It works perfectly . It's easy to slip over his giant head without having to clip anything to his collar. The cinch allows us to keep the leash in the right place on his neck so that when we lead him or correct a behavior there's no chance of either hurting him or having no impact on his actions. With the training we've done with dog and this leash we now have a much mellower dog and fewer incidences of him being assertive when he shouldn't be.

I bought this use during my volunteer hours at my local shelter when I would walk some of the dogs. They had a different preferred brand but I decided to try this one and was very glad that I did! It is easy to use, has sufficient padding to counteract those dogs which pull heavily. The rubber stop worked wonderfully and as expected. This leash outperformed their preferred brand by a landslide. I would highly recommend it.

Our dog trainer recommended this slip lead for our dog because the one we were using wouldn’t stay in place. He said he had his for five years and the rubber stopper is still perfect. We were very excited for a good and functional slip lead but were highly disappointed. The rubber stopper was decent to begin with but after about a week it started sliding up and down with no resistance. I have to stop very often to reposition the slip on her neck. I think it’s even worse than our previous slip. The only reason I continue using it is because the handle is more comfortable, I would say that the handle is the only good thing about this slip. Maybe we got a defective one and hopefully it can’t be replaced or refunded because we are really disappointed.

This lead just didn't work for my dog. My dog, who is an average puller, chokes himself to death. It didn't help with the pulling in the slightest, even after a couple of hours of trying to get him used to it. I highly recommend using a front clip harness instead for pullers. If not, I recommend some of the cheaper cinch leads on Amazon, like Friends Forever. I have one from them and they're so much cheaper and the quality of both leashes feel similar.

Our dog trainer told us to get this leash. Has worked wonders for our leash aggressive rescue dog. He is slowly learning we're the alpha, not him. Really nice quality. We were afraid our corgi mix, giraffe neck dog would squirm out of this the way he has from one of his harnesses and a collar. But he hasn't at all. Also really working wonders on his lunging at other dogs. Plus, it's so much easier than stooping over to fasten a harness!!

I’ve bought numerous Ruffwear products and can’t speak highly enough of them. This leash is no exception- it comes in an easy to use size with rubber stopper to help size the neck and provide give. The width fits nicely in the hand and has a good weight. The color is vibrant and the leash is perfect to slip on and off quickly for use. Highly recommended.

A leash should never be attached to a dog’s collar that has their ID on it (in case the dog slips out). My 11y old dog has used this leash for many years and I wanted the new puppy to have a matching one. The old one still looks great and has been durable and I hope the new one will as well!

I loved these leashed when a client had them for their dogs. I am a dog walker. They are thick enough to hold easily and I bought a couple of them so I could double leash dogs with collars that I am afraid might not hold the dog. I have had collars and leashes break leaving the dogs (fortunately unknowing to them) loose for a moment. Scary!

Iv always used ruffwear and found there products great but not with this lead. I bought this lead 3 months ago for nearly £40. There has been no bites on this lead and it has not lasted at all. Very disappointed. Will not buy ruff ware again
