WHAT CAN I SAY IT IS A BUTCHER'S BONE SAW. IT DOES WHAT A BONE SAW SHOULS DO. IT CUTS THRU BONE IN A VARIETY OF MEATS: BEEF, PORK, CHICKEN, TURKEY, ETC.

I did not find this useful for frozen meat or bone. Maybe a different blade would work better, but with the large-toothed blade supplied it catches and stops instantly and completely: I couldn't cut frozen meat or bone at all. I suppose it would be useful for sectioning a large thawed boneless hunk of meat, but a leg of lamb either frozen or thawed completely defeated it. The frame is well made, but unless you're butchering a moose I'm not really sure what the purpose of this tool is.Must go in the dishwasher every time you use it because the slots that hold the blade collect fat and cannot be cleaned by hand.

Butcher's Hand Saw - Great Value - Works Well on Frozen Food
This butcher saw is a very reasonably priced item which I purchased to cut through 2 saltwater bass filets that had frozen together into one big solid lump about 12" long and 4" thick. No standard kitchen utility knife was adequate to cutting off portions suitable for single serving size without resorting to defrosting. The saw has a very comfortable handle and sawing was easily controlled with no slipping. The blade removal/locking mechanism is easy to use, making clean-up a breeze. The blade is carbon steel (not stainless steel), 12" long with 10 teeth per inch. Other butcher saws available to purchase were considerably more costly. I am very pleased by the value and functionality of this one.
