Happy Valley Manuka Honey - UMF 15+ (8.8oz, 250g) - Certified Raw New Zealand Mānuka - UMF 15+, MGO 514+

I purchased this honey because of the UMF 15 rating, and the genuine support Happy Valley has given to others on Amazon. The honey itself is thick and very sweet, with a very light medicinal taste. I found it tasted great by itself, and would take a teaspoon with 500mg of ginger root to help with digestion and sickness. My fiance and I saw positive results within the first week. It's been about two months since I've been taking this combination, and not only do I wake up without stomach discomfort (which was previously an every day issue), but my persistent acid reflux has greatly declined to where it's rarely even noticed. For me, this honey is worth the price for the potency, and I'm happy to know that such an honest company is backing their product.

The taste is wonderful. Sometimes I taste hints of cinnamon, sometimes hints of caramel. I bought it because I'm trying out different brands -- this really has the best taste. That said, many reviewers have said the honey is not is not that thick, and I'd have to agree. It doesn't seem watery, but it's just not as thick as other manuka honeys I've tried. What's more, it seems to do really well for my esophagus, which is what I bought it for, even though I've only tried it a few times -- it's like it coats it very well, and that's a good thing. I only gave it four stars because I only started the jar recently; I'll see how I feel when the jar is more than half used.Edited to add another star. I've gone through two jars thus far and this time I'm ordering the 500g jar. It's really cut down on my esophagus discomfort. One heaping spoonful typically does the trick. Haven't seen the GI doc about this, but only because I haven't been able to get in. I'll be going in next week. The esophagus is nothing to ignore.

Very tasty. That is my second purchase of Manuka honey after Comvita. Both taste the same to me, so pick either one if you are making a choice. This one is better just of the container design. Easier to scoop the bottom of container with wider neck. Otherwice I do not see difference in taste. The general complain is the same for both. Very pricey for a such small size. Also it is very thick and goes very fast. Fills like 10 tea spoons and you are out if the bottle.

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before I bought this product. I have been taking Prilosec for 10 years and when I started hearing all the news about kidney disease and all the other side affects it really scared me. Heartburn and acid reflux are horrible. Arrived on 7/22/2016 I took 2 Tsp. as soon as I opened the package and 2 Tsp. 3 x a day for a 2 days. The third day I took 1 tsp. 3x a day. I am blown away by the results. I just ordered another jar. I love the taste of it. It is very pricey but I will continue to use it because I would much rather treat this with all natural products than medicine the doctors prescribe. Also I have Psoriasis and I can tell a difference in that since I started using this honey. I hope this review will help someone.

I was excited to receive this honey after researching the great medicinal properties of it. However, the product tastes awful! It have an off putting odor and tastes even worse. I have to dissolve it in a small amount of water and chug it down quickly. I wonder if it is even good for me with how foul the taste is?! I will not be buying again.

My dog had a lump removed from the inside of a rear foot. Through various unfortunate events (not the vet's fault) he managed to take his stitches out and leave about a 1 inch by I/2 inch very open wound. The topical antibiotics were not doing much for him. A combination of the UMF 15+ Manuka honey and antibiotic pills have made excellent progress on the wound. Suggestion, it is hard to find good wound dressing instructions on how to use the honey. I found the product works better changing the dressing twice a day rather than once a day. Basically if the wound is producing fluids you probably want to change the dressing a couple times a day. With a dog and the layers of self sticking tape it takes to keep him from removing the dressing (yes even with an Elizabethan collar) it is hard to tell when the sterile dressing is no longer clean. The honey did a superb job of removing the sloughy tissue and no infection or swelling has developed in the area. After less than a week of using it, there no infection has developed and the area is pretty complete forming granualization tissue. (One hint a small child's sock over the foot is helpful to keep the dressing in place_.

The honey arrived on time, but the packaging of it was not very good. Also, the honey looked low compared to another brand 250 g. I have taken pictures of the both brand side by side to show that Happy Valley brand has less honey than Bee's Inn. I will still use it, because it is nice and thick in consistency (not as thick as Bee's Inn) and it tasted medicinal as well as sweet. However, I will not purchase this brand again because of the reasons above. You can see in the picture happy valley and Bee's inn side by side. Bees inn is on the right side.

I highly recommend Happy Valley Manuka honey! I've been using manuka honey and cinnamon for quite a while and have spent a tremendous amount of money doing so. I thought I would try other manuka honey brands in order to cut back on the cost but that was a huge mistake. This is the best tasting manuka honey I've had. I tried Tahi brand which tasted bad and it was very grainy. I tried Wedderspoon which I question the quality of that one overall and the taste wasn't great either. Don't even bother with Trader Joes which isn't UMF rated by the way.What I do is fill a tablespoon with this honey and top it with ceylon cinnamon (only organic ceylon, the purest) and ingest it that way, I don't like to compromise the medicinal quality by diluting it in warm beverages. After that, I mix 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar in 8 ounces of room temperature water. Very healthy!
