Love our Flologic
Excellent device. We had it tied into our alarm so that flologic goes into away mode every time we leave the home and vice versa when we arrive home. Clearly give a measure of reassurance that our home is protected from a leak. Also found out our neighbors landscapers were using our water when we were away. They only got 15 sec worth. Would be nice to be able to reset remotely. Also an internet (text or email) would be nice. I do this through a dry contact alert called ConnectSense. Overall very pleased.

Installation is very difficult. Expert help is needed and many additional parts
We now have two FloLogic 3.5 systems. We had a plumber put it in and then discovered it was much more involved than just in the initial install. We have had nothing but issues with installation. After having it put in we called FloLogic for recommendations on installers to put in the bypass and check valve. The recommended installer knew nothing about a check valve being recommended and had no idea how to set up the bypass to the water softener and had no access to parts to get it done. We have now had two plumbers to our house and are not able to use this product at all due to these issues. The product and support should include all items necessary for an install and FloLogic should provide expert help for the installation, not an inexperienced plumber with no idea how the system functions and the recommended install procedures. We have spent way more money than we needed to to get the system put in and it is still essentially useless to us.

Saved me $$$$
I've had the original unit for almost nine years, and since my co-op water is pretty pricey, the Flologic has saved me big bucks many, many times.Unfortunately, the unit's electronics totally failed after nine years, and I had the choice of replacing the boards (a few hundred dollars) or upgrading to the new version, which also has wifi capability. They also offered a fabulous discount on the upgrade, easy choice. The upgrade had a few "teething" problems, but tech support was spectacular. All's well now, and I can check status and control the unit from anywhere I get a cell connection.

Installation is not difficult. Gives real time leak monitoring at very low leak rate. Although initially expensive, avoiding damage from water leaks is worth expense.

Too hard to maintain
So got a floLogic 7 years ago. The water flow sensor failed. Ordered a new one. Couldn’t get the Allen screws ofF with the Allen wrench they sent me. Called tech support before I completely stripped the screws. No help. Too complex to maintain. Do yourself a favor. Get the Moen, much simpler design that I have in my second home.

Order it and install it. Smart decision.
Analysis of homeowner's insurance claims shows that flooding is a substantially larger risk than fire. And that makes sense, particularly when you're away on longer trips. The feed line for a toilet or washing machine springs a leak, and sprays water for days until you return to discover you're looking at a major repair situation. This system is well designed to measure flows and shut off the water if it looks like a problem is developing. With the wifi connect module, you'll get notice while you're away. Our cleaning people triggered it by mistake; no problem, reset with the app and the water is flowing again. False alarms are not a problem, and flood worries are eliminated.Installation of the flow meter and shut-off valve are probably best left to a professional. And remember to include a check valve, to avoid ghost flows causing false alarms. But the control wiring is easy enough for a reasonably handy home improvement practitioner.Best of all, your homeowner's insurance probably will give you credits for installing this system. Pays for itself pretty quickly.Kudos to the support staff at FloLogic. Amazingly quick responses to questions I raised, even over weekday evening.Strongly recommended. Pull the trigger. Buy it, install it. You'll be glad you did.

Greatest system in the market
I installed the 1-inch system with WiFi after having done extensive research. This system is the ONLY one out there that is robust, accurate, dependable, with great system access via app (WiFi and via cloud) or at the control panel itself. Great tech support from FloLogic. I have a big house and wanted a truly professional system. I also researched Flo by Moen; that system will not allow to check flow rates, is only sensitive to massive leaks (equivalent to turning on the faucet), and is made out of plastic, only 1-year warranty and involves a very expensive battery for backup.Yes, the FloLogic system is more expensive but you get what you pay for. And most importantly, I now have peace of mind and I won't be stuck with a $5,000 deductible if I ever have a water damage as the system will detect a leak right from the beginning when the flow rate is minuscule (pin hole leak in most cases).I am writing this review on my own, I have no relationship with FloLogic. I just want to help other people who are considering water leakage monitoring systems for their house.

Peace of mind
I've installed these units in both our primary residence and summer house, and I'm very happy with the functionality. Once this fall at our summer house, I got an alert on my phone that it detected a leak at our primary residence. We were able to continue to enjoy a weekend without having to rush back, since the unit shut off the water so no damage could occur. When we got back, we found an outside fixture had frozen and cracked. Though it wouldn't have caused damage in the house, who knows how long it would have been before I noticed it. Great peace of mind knowing that water damage is one item to cross off the worry list. The only minor complaint I have is that it only connects through wifi -- I would have preferred the ability to have a wired connection.
