I keep it off my trailer with just the baseplates installed when it is not in use. It keeps it from impairing the use of the trailer like the chock style and the four hand bolts are quick to install/remove. I will say that I had to replace the first one I purchased due to QC issues. There was a manufacturing defect and QC really should have caught it. Not sure how long the powder coat finish will hold up exposed to the elements. I would not let this exposed to the weather long term.As far as functionality I can have my bike loaded and trailer up and ready to go in under a minute no issue if pressed. I had had it with straps and all the hassles. This is very simple to drive on, lock down, and go on your merry way. Seems stable with my KTM 350, but that is a light bike also. Not sure how well the four threaded finger bolts would work if they were stressed. Cant believe that they would be able to hold much impact load. I do run a strap loosely through the front wheel as a backup in case of some type of impact for secondary containment.If you are using a two stroke look carefully at the dimensions. I had a 2012 300 XCFW and with the gnarly pipe it was a bugger to get through the width of the unit. Just make sure you have access to the under-side of your vehicle because you need to mount four bolts all the way through the floor and put nuts/washers on the under side. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Broke and customer service did nothing *by N***J on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2024* Within a few months of using this system, the device would lock and I put the safety pin in, but during travel the mechanism failed and the locks came up causing my bikes to bounce around the trailer, causing sever damage to my motorcycles. I reached out to Risk Racing customer service MULTIPLE TIMES. The first time they sent me a YouTube on how to add grease to the locking system. I’m sure you’re shocked to find out that did not solve the problem of the failed locking mechanism. I have since reached out to customer service 3 MORE TIMES only to be completely ignored. They don’t honor their warranty. They don’t answer the phone. And they don’t return emails. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
