Review: Solid performer at a decent price. - Setting up the Maidesite standing desk was straightforward and took around 45 minutes. I paired it with their 160x80cm desktop, which creates a solid surface, especially at the lower height settings. At heights ranging from c100cm to 120cm, the desk remains stable for typing and general work. However, there is noticeable wobble if you give it a good shake - can't really complain at this price point though. The motors are quick and relatively quiet. The whirring sound from the motor is not overly intrusive. I have sat on the desk and it raises and lowers with ease. I am approx 75kg. The included cable/plug holder is very flimsy (it is just a piece of metal which you need to bend in shape) - I replaced it with another item available from desertcart. Comes with casters too along with fixed pads. However, casters will raise the desk (including worktop) from c71cm to c76cm which made it too high for my sitting position without foot rest at ~5ft8. I recommend setting the collision avoidance to the highest sensitivity. If left at the default setting, the desk won’t stop easily when it encounters an obstruction (it chipped a bit off my windows sill without stopping on default setting!!). Overall, I would recommend this desk to friends and family.

If I was clutching at straws the only thing I don't like is that there is a slight wobble which on bigger monitors becomes more pronounced. The thing to be aware of is that the collision sensing doesn't seem to work well at all. I had a small set of drawers under one side of the desk, and my young daughter pushed the down button and it continued to go down on the opposite side to the very lowest setting, putting the desk top at a slant and nearly knocking things off the desk. I had it set to the most sensitive setting - so if this is important to you, just be aware of this. Otherwise it's a great product that I would recommend

Setting up the Maidesite standing desk was straightforward and took around 45 minutes. I paired it with their 160x80cm desktop, which creates a solid surface, especially at the lower height settings. At heights ranging from c100cm to 120cm, the desk remains stable for typing and general work. However, there is noticeable wobble if you give it a good shake - can't really complain at this price point though. The motors are quick and relatively quiet. The whirring sound from the motor is not overly intrusive. I have sat on the desk and it raises and lowers with ease. I am approx 75kg. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very easy to set up and stable to use on carpet floors even when at 116cm plus height.

Very easy to set up. I used my existing desk top and fitted this to it. Took about an hour all in to get everything set up, all cable secured and tidies etc and ready to use. Simple to use and easy to adjust. Very quiet motor movements and even when working at 116 cm height still very stable on a thick carpet. I have an arm fitted to the back of the desk with two 27" monitors as well as a laptop and files on the desk and has no issues and very minimal wobble when using. For the price would recommend this to any home office users looking for that option of converting to a sit stand desk.
