Extended Battery for LG LS670, Optimus S (With Cover)

I got an Optimus S and the stock battery wouldn't last beyond mid-afternoon with my use (maybe 10min of calls, 10 text messages, 1hr web browsing/internet on the train, and checking email twice an hour). I was also always stressed out about the battery usage.After having had this battery for several days, it now easily lasts a full 24 hours without my worrying about my usage. It looks like it would last up to 48 days, but I've been charging it before it gets to that point. I'm very happy with it.The battery does make the phone look bulky. The weight is not much more than the stock battery and the back cover looks almost OEM except it doesn't have the Sprint logo on it. The camera is recessed in but it hasn't affected my picture quality (it's still low), and the speaker phone doesn't appear to be effected.---Battery tips:I downloaded a more advanced battery statistics app and realized that a lot of the chat programs keep your phone from going into the "deep sleep" mode. If you don't really need it, sign out of Google Talk, Kakaotalk, and Line. I noticed Viber and WhatsApp didn't keep the phone awake much.I also underclocked the processor later which seems to give another 10-15% more time (but this is more technical and has some risks).

So it's been 1 year since I bought this. Sadly, the battery almost exploded last week. I guess the glue holding the seams together has failed. Noticed the phone wasn't charging any more.It did hold it's charge a little longer then the oem one. But like all smartphones, the more you use it, the less battery life you get.Overall, I've been satisfied with it.

After reading the reviews on this battery I decided that it was worth trying. I had to charge my regular 1500 mAH battery of my LG Optimus V everyday. Once I installed this battery I became more conscious about conserving battery on my phone and now I only have to charge my phone once every 5 to 7 days. I mainly turn off 3G and WiFi until I need it and use my tablet to view videos instead of my phone. Other uses are normal and I would say I am a moderate user of voice and fairly heavy on text. I really have not compared this battery to the original, but I am really pleased with the outcome. The phone is slightly heavier and considerably thicker and that have not affected the way I cary it or use it, but that might be a factor for some users.

I bought this extended battery for my LG Optimus on September 6, 2012. Just 2 days ago (January 19th), this battery starting giving my phone problem and I could only use my phone when it was plugged into the charger but soon enough it did not work or turn on at all. I went to the Sprint store and told them how I had bought this for my phone only about 5 months ago. The diagnosis was that it was a defective extended battery being that this battery should last up to 3 years. I was careful not to overcharge this battery as I had done with my original battery so it had no reason to stop working on me. After 5 months of careful use this battery should not have stopped working and it is very disappointing because now I have to again order yet another battery, but I will not purchase an extended one.

Really extends the battery life of my optimus. Fits great with optimus V. the color is a little off. Its a dark grey vs the optimus which is black. It does double the phones thickness but its not nearly as bad as it sounds. The case that they provide also has the rubbery/grippy texture.TLDR: Extends battery life quite a bit. High quality. Fits perfectly w/ VM Optimus V.

This battery lasts and lasts when compared to the "stock" LG battery provided with the phone.It does add a bit of "girth" to the phone but the battery cover provided has a nice surface that makesthe phone much easier to hold and not slip out of your hands. This is worth every penny I paid for this battery and cover!

Works

It's a little older phone, but I still love it and with the extended battery, I can use all my apps (Pandora, Navigation, FB, and plenty more) ALL DAY LONG without having to worry about running out of juice. Extended battery is a MUST HAVE for anyone with a smart phone.
