Excellent training book in a minefield of duff guides
Kickboxing Training Drills So I thought I'd take at look at Martial Arts Illustrated regular Mr Billinghams latest book, I'll be honest I have his previous two and they're two of the best books in my Martial arts book collection. Having taken ownership of this one I wondered how it would compare... I'm pleased to say I'm not disappointed.Once again we see a great array of high colour glossy photos (how nice to see that we are in 2011 and not stuck with 70's style pictures, moustaches and toilet paper thin pages). The title is misleading as this certainly isn't just a book on Kickboxing Training Drills but also covers the importantance of attributes through chapters on developing Power, Speed, Timing etc. Reading this book, makes it a must for any martial artist, whether kickboxing, MMA and traditional arts - all can benefit from reading this book. This is obviously written by a martial artist who knows what he is talking about, and I would suggest practices what he preaches.I'll summarise this book as a must read - well written with good advice and instructional pieces plus great use of photos to support. This one certainly won't be getting dusty on my bookshelf.

Recommended for all levels
The 3rd book in the series, & it's great to see that the quality hasn't suffered as happens all to often in a series of similarly themed titles. Continuing the theme from the previous books, all drills are well explained & illustrated by high quality photographs. What makes Justyn Billingham's books stand out from the rest is his obvious passion for the martial arts & his outstanding technical ability to demonstrate 'textbook' techniques, such that a photo of eg. a round kick could not be better illustrated if an artist had instead drawn it. A must-have book (as are the other 2 in the series) for martial artists of all levels.

An absolute must have
If your an instructor of a school, or a dedicated Martial Artist, this book is a must have to improve your training. After purchasing the book last week, I can say I was truely impressed. The layout and explanation of the drills are very easy to understand. Its broken down into the elements of training, so you can choose which are important for you to improve on.Justyn has clearly spent a lot of time on this book, as with his other two, and I can only hope for a fourth! 10/10

Really Good Buy
Have bought other books on martial arts and this one has to be the best. It's ideal for home training and I particularly like the way each skill is broken down with many different drills to follow. I really think if you want to increase your speed, power, timing etc. then this would be the book to get.

An essential read for kickboxers everywhere!
Another very well written kickboxing book by Justyn Billingham. This is a 'must' for kickboxers that want to improve their techniques and abillity to support their training. I am an avid reader of Justyn's monthly columns in Martial Arts Illustrated and was eagerly awaiting the publication of this book to use alongside the other 2. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed!

Pat O'Keefe does better!
No affiliation as I feel some reviews may be biased, better places to spend your money! More show than substance!
