Flyboy In The Buttermilk: Essays On Contemporary America

I was drawn to this book after reading a recent obituary of the sad, and much too early, demise of its author-Greg Tate, style, fashion and music insider and social commentator.I bought the book for my son who is interested in its themes, but not always in reading. He has recently finished reading this excellent book and enjoyed it thoroughly. I read a chapter and the author struck me as a warm and intelligent person, so am looking forward to continuing. I would recommend the book to anyone interested in the American music and fashion scene of the last 30 years.
