My dad is a voice actor and in 2008 he put a sound studio in the top floor of our house so he can make recordings at home. This means whenever my brothers and I are being too loud downstairs, we hear him banging through the floor for us to be quiet. We didn't have a good solution until I got him the Hosmart Wireless Intercom System and we're very happy with the purchase. It’s long-range, easy to set-up, and easy to use. Our family communication is also so much better. No one likes being thumped at, Dad! Not to mention, their customer service is some of the best I've ever seen. We had a small issue with one unit and suspected it was dropped during shipment. The unit still worked fine, but we reached anyway and were amazed by their customer service team. Sherri blew us away with her careful attention and professionalism. She sent us a replacement that got delivered the very next day! Works perfectly and we're very happy with our experience buying from Hosmart. Thank you!!!

UPDATE: 7.20.18 Customer service was incredible, contacting me immediately and sending me out a new set immediately. The new set works much better in terms of range (reaches entire house) and interference (almost none) The only reservation I still have has nothing to do with the quality of the product: it is the "ring" tone: it scares me, even the unit is set to low volume. Monitor mode: We love it. Mom does a lot of work in the basement, far from helpful ears. Now we can hear her if she falls or simply needs help WITHOUT her having to touch the device (Monitor mode makes the unit function like a baby monitor). Very Handy! Good product and fantastic support. ===== I purchased this set of 3 intercoms for our home - a two story house built in the 30's - so that we didn't have to shout anymore. I'm very unhappy with these for two reasons: the first is a defect (in my opinion) the second is personal. The defect is in the reception, which often is poor with static and not infrequently picks up other signals. (We tried switching the channels) The second is the horribly loud and unpleasant sounding 'ring'. There is no way to change the volume or the type of ring. Hope this helps

I bought them for the features and price . . but when things went wrong, I kept them because of the customer service. I liked quite a bit about these units when I read the description: 1st, they reach throughout the house, and out into the shop (40 feet from the house), no problem. The sound was no symphonic stereo system, but clearer than the old models I had in the 80s. The group button to talk to everyone, or the talk button to talk to just the units on any one channel. The call button so everyone or just one unit would hear I was trying to reach them. The monitor button, so we could use it to hear what was going on in the kitchen, if I was out in the shop. All that and at only fifty something bucks for both, was too much to pass up. . . Then I got them . . no set up, plug them in, and off and running . . UNTIL I realized the volume adjustment controls did not work . . a BIG bummer, since the call button tone could raise the dead, (but was kinda handy in the shop), and the talk volume was too low . . . I fiddled n fiddled, and then threw my self to the wolves and emailed the vendor . . MIRACLE OF MIRACLES, the guy called me back (!!) within a day . . and said "Yes, they had some units doing that, that they were defective, and they wanted to make up for my issues by sending me a NEW UP graded unit . . no BS, no "it's your fault", no "send it back", blah blah blah . . . I darn near fell off the chair . . he said order a new unit, I did, and they gave me a refund through Amazon for the WHOLE MESS . . somebody in that company takes customer service very seriously . . so 4 stars for the unit, because if the volume control worked, it was everything they said it was, and 20 stars for customer service, Thanks Adward, nice work . . for the record, he said the units with good volume controls were very popular, and from the reviews, I believe him. Then I get the upgrade units, and they are 2 way vox, so after I hit the button, they talk to me, I talk to them, and the units switch back and forth without either of us touching another button . . and the vollume control works, and the sound is better than the first one . . so I recommend the HY777 if they are enough for you, and I also recommend the MC-616, if you like hands free duplex like communications . . kinda like a dect 6 phone without the phone . . . The Hosmart's customer service is absolutely outstanding. We live on ocean front property with lots of commercial and pleasure vessel traffic. Every now and then, we would hear boat traffic over the intercom. I contacted the company who makes this product and they worked me through troubleshooting the problem twice. Later, the problem returned so the company promptly replaced the entire system via fast shipment. I can't say enough good things about this company. They are the best. The replacement system has never received unwanted signals. Performance in our house is excellent. It is as good as an old fashioned wired system. Before purchase, we were concerned about signal strength given the house is concrete (including many of the interior walls) and one station is on the first floor with the other station upstairs on the other side of the house. This is a straight line distance of about 70 feet. The signal is remarkably clear. It is easy to operate and is truly a, 'plug and play' system.
