TNTE 12 Volt Power Supply - 5 Amp Standard (12V 5A DC) Adapter

This is a poor quality chinese built power supply. It is rated for 5 amps@12 volt, but running it at a continuous 2.7 amps(as measured on my ammeter) caused it to heat up to the point where it started to produce an acrid smelling smoke. Had I not noticed this the house could have started on fire. Do not buy, it is not capable of safetly doing what it is rated at on the sticker. I doubt the QA stamp on the device is actually true.

This is an excellent supply rated at 5 amperes peak. It will supply about 3.5 Amps continuous and runs very cool at 3 amps or less which is about right. The review where the guy was drawing 5 amps continuously and then saying it is no good is nonsense! Power supplies are usually always rated by peak capability, not continuous. He should know that but he apparently doesn't. I am an Extra class amateur radio operator and also did military comms for the US Army and do a lot of my own work on my radio equipment. I use this supply to drive a small class T stereo amp into high end Paradigm stereo speakers. It seems to be very quiet with no detectable ripple in the audio signal.

Perfect solution to replace a burnt out power supply for my Brinkman 12 volt led walkway lights on my front sidewalk. Brinkman wanted $45 plus shipping for a replacement unit and I was able to replace with a $7.00 12 volt supply, plus $9.00 for a dawn to dusk timer from Home Depot. The 5 Amp rating is more than I need for this application.

I used this to power some LED tailights I installed into a couch made from a Mustang. Did a nice job without getting hot.

I have many items for work that run on 12 volts. None of them require over 5 amps so this inexpensive power supply works well. I changed out the connector to a 4 pin XLR that plug into my work tools. I mostly use this on my bench to test items when needed.

I'm using this on a 27" monitor (Green ITC LAVA https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I2GPWXY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). It took a few minutes to warm up (slight flicker on the screen), but the original did that as well. So cheap I bought a second for a backup.

Voltage is holding steady with 7 cameras at just over 12 volts. Some older cameras that I thought were dead are now back to life.Note that you need extra power for the IR LEDs at night, this seems to have plenty of power.Actually performs better than a 30 amp enclosure that I bought that won't hold 12 volts.

Great little power supply and will be used in my emergency ham radio "GO-Box.

Works as expected to power up a LaCie d2 Thunderbolt 3 1oTB HDD. 5V plug end was a bit longer than expected but it fits fine diameter wise. Only real concern I have is I am not sure how clean and exact the 5V output is but I will trust it and use it. It is missing some details / assurances on it's performance and that is why I am only giving it a 3

Works perfectly for my son's tv after having lost the original cord and transformer. Very happy with this purchase!
