I was keen to test this system as I have quite a lot of pots and less time than I used to for maintaining them.Set-up was fairly straightforward but it took me a while to fine tune each nozzle to the level I wanted. Our water pressure is around 3 bar so not bad. I did find towards the end of the run the water output was reduced, but if you can manage without quite so many and leave a few off as others have done that should help, I found I had to turn the time down when I didn’t use as many nozzles as the pressure was higher.I appreciate being able to control the system with the timer and not just the app, too!

I will break this review down into 4 components: Ease of Installation; Watering Efficiency; Remote controllability; Quality of the materials.Ease of Installation: Setting up the system was surprisingly straightforward, much to my surprise, and it's user friendly, to get the irrigation system up and running. Connecting the accessories and drippers is easy and before you know it, the system begins watering your plants.Efficiency in Watering: With the smart timer controller and the three types of adjustable nozzles, it means the watering is precision controlled and minimises excess water disposal. The savings compared to the traditional method of using your garden hose, is to my eyes at least, pretty significant.Remote Controllability: Not that I ever expected a drip irrigation system of this price to come with app control, but it's certainly welcome, and sets this system apart from its rivals. This will come especially handy during the hot summer months of July and August, when even 2 or 3 days of no watering can be catastrophic.Quality of the materials. It's claimed to be made of ABS and PVC, and it's clearly been built for durability, giving me peace of mind that the system will last for a good few years.To conclude, I am very happy with this Irrigation System, and especially happy for what's on the table given the inexpensive price tag. It's got everything you could possibly want really, and app control, well that's just the icing on the cake. I'm impressed, and would happily recommend this product!

The media could not be loaded. This is a mixed bag initially. For sixty pounds you get a lot of hose and sprinkler attachments , three types, and a timer that can be used with an app.Putting it together is straight forward , but the instructions are poor for this part, thankfully it is somewhat self explanatory. It’s just a case of cutting the hose , attaching it to a three way junction, one to a sprinkler , one for inlet and one to outlet to the next sprinkler. There is also a stop for one end.I first tested each type of sprinkler by attaching it to the very end of the hose, all worked wonderfully.The problems started once I had junctioned all of the sprinklers. Only the first two were getting water, fortunately you can turn each sprinkler off by screwing it tight. I did this to increase water pressure and left the last one in the chain open. There was no blockage the last one worked. My cold water pressure is high so no issue there. With all sprinklers attacked I began to open them again , but past the first three there just wasn’t enough pressure to reach the rest.I didn’t set up the timer because it was wasn’t working without, but I’ve used the linked app and it works fine for other smart functions.I just don’t know what the issue is ? Too many sprinklers ? Anyway I can’t get it working for more than three and like I say my water pressure is excellent.There are only attachments for a screw tap , you will need to get a male hoselok to male hoselok type if you don’t have an outside screw tap like me.At sixty pounds it’s ok if you can get it to work, I’m going to give trouble shooting one more chance and will update if I have any joy , ymmv.

This is one of the better drip irrigation sets I have ever used. All of the connectors have locking screw nuts as well as the t-pieces and end plugs. This ensures you get a nice watertight system. The only one that is just a push fit with no locking cap is the water spout but as the output is not under pressure it doesn't pose a problem. As with all of these type of systems it is better to pop the end of the tubing into boiling water to soften them up before pushing them on to the connectors to ensure a nice tight fit. The provided tube cutter is quite useful and ensures a straight cut through the pipe.My test setup was one of each dripper and an end plug. Without fully opening my tap there was sufficient pressure for a good amount of water from each dripper. The blue and red drippers are adjustable and the kit contains enough connectors to run multiple lines of drippers.I had a few problems setting the app and water timer up but that was only because my phone wouldn't switch from 5ghz to 2.4. I walked halfway down my long garden and it eventually switched and setup was completed. Using the app, you can manually run it for x amount of minutes or set single or multiple daily timers. It also has a cycle timer function which would be ideal in an ebb and flood system. Now I just need to clear the greenhouses out and get it fully setup ready for spring.

I set this Hose Drip Irrigation System up at my Mum's house, she loves her flowers and I thought this would make her life a bit easier and make watering a bit simpler rather than filling watering cans. The set up was straight forward, plenty of hose and plenty of nozzles to do the rose beds and flower beds. I set it all up and turned on the water but even though the tap had plenty of pressure, the water was not reaching the nozzles on the extremities of the hose. No big deal really as you can turn off individual nozzles, so I turned off the first few nozzles and the last few started working. So basically water some flowers one day and the other flowers the next, or give it 30 minutes each, by turning off the nozzles which will give you some satisfaction of doing something instead of just turning on the tap. This was just a test run as it is still raining here, as it has been for the last 6 months, so when it gets a bit warmer I will set it up to use the timer.

Da habe ich doch glatt erst letzte Woche einen Bewässerungscomputer mit WLAN-WiFi-Steuerung und WiFi-Adapter gekauft (ASIN B0C7GT163L , 49€) , um meinen Garten automatisch gesteuert bewässern zu können, da kommt heute schon ein Komplettsystem über den Tisch, mit WiFi-Steuerung und 40m Schlauch und 25 Sprühern/Tropfern als Komplettpaket.Zwar hat meine erste Steuereinheit den Vorteil, dass sie mit 4 AA Batterien Kontakt zum mitgelieferten WLAN-Adapter aufnimmt, während das Ventil hier aktiv über eine USB-A Kabelverbindung mit Energie versorgt werden muss. Auch der nicht vorhandene Accesspoint ist eine Achillessehne – ist das Wasserventil für WLAN-Empfang zu weit entfernt müssen Sie irgendwie mit einem Repeater unterwegs das Signal verstärken oder eben immer sozusagen dann face-to-face mit dem Smartphone in Sichtweite des Ventils via Bluetooth steuern.Das muss man aber im Einzelfall austesten. Die oben erwähnte Steuereinheit ist bis zu 50m weit einsetzbar. Dann hat man aber ums gleiche Geld erst ein gesteuertes Ventil und nicht mehr.Mit Tuya bzw SmartLife APP ist die mitgelieferte Wasserventil-Einheit gesteuert. Die iOS bzw. Android-App ist mit Bluetooth und WiFi die Bedienungsoberfläche des Systems.Tuya ist eine der am weitesten verbreitesten App im Home-Automatisierungs-Zirkus.Ein Wort zur WLAN-Sicherheit. Die meisten Homeautomatisierungs-Geräte werden über APPs an das WLAN des Hauses angeschlossen. Die Apps verlangen, dass man einen Account erstellt. Normalerweise eine Emailadresse und ein frei wählbares Passwort. Zum Betrieb des Geräts ist dann ein WLAN-Zugriff nötig. Und den frägt die App ebenfalls ab – mit Passwort.Da ich keine Lust habe mein WLAN-Passwort in einen chinesischen Server oder generell bei einem App-Betreiber einzutragen, gehe ich mit einer Doppelstrategie vor. Ich habe eine Emailadresse nur für Home-Geräte und variiere das Passwort in Abhängigkeit der APP. Und beim WLAN nutze ich zB bei der Fritz!Box (192.168.178.1 im Internet-Browser eingeben) das sogenannte Gästenetz. Das habe ich in den Einstellungen des Routers aktiviert und ein eigenes Passwort vergeben.Vorgehen also: Email besorgen. Gastnetz im Router anschalten und Passwort vergeben.Smart Life (oder Tuya-) App herunterladen aufs Smartphone. Account anmelden mit Email und Passwort. Dann die Anfrage per Email zur Bestätigung der Emailadresse abwarten.Smartphone ins 2.4 GHz WLAN Gästenetz ummelden. Und erst jetzt den Strom am Wasserventil anschalten und das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen. Dann die App starten und mit dem „+“ auf Gerätesuche gehen. Für Anfänger ist das ein wenig ein Geduldsspiel.Sollte der WLAN-Zugriff ausspioniert werden, dann kann jemand damit nur begrenzten Schaden anrichten und nicht auf das komplette WLAN-Heimnetz zugreifen.Aber auch da ist ein steuerbares Wasserventil schon kostspielig. Wenn es jemanden gelingt tagelang mit 10 Liter die Minute einen Gartenschlauch laufen zu lassen, der richtet schon viel Ärger an: 600 Liter in der Stunde, 14400 Liter, also 14,4 m³ pro Tag, das sind mit Oberflächenwasserzuschlägen dann schon 70-90€ Wasserverbrauch ans Wasserwerk.Aber dieser recht dünne Schlauch schafft mit dem Querschnitt nur einen kleineren Bruchteil. Das wiederum ist aber auch gleich die Achillessehne hier, weil bei 40m Schlauch nimmt bei normalem Haushaltsdruck von 2.5-4 Bar mit zunehmender Entfernung auch der Druck aus dem einzelnen Satelliten (Tropfer, Sprenkler … ) ab. Je mehr der 10 + 10 + 25 Verbraucher in den Schlauch eingeklinkt werden, desto instabiler wird dieses auf Plastikbasis verbundene Bewässerungssystem auch.Bei aller Liebe also: Für einen kleineren Garten oder Hochbeete zB durchaus geeignet, für Hektargrößen aussichtslos. Da braucht es ggf Messingverbindungen und definitiv größere Schlauchquerschnitte.Bemängelt wird zurecht, dass man nur einen Sack voll Schlauch und wenig bis gar keine Beschreibung bekommt. Schlauch und Verbraucher sind schwer kombinierbar. Die Tüllen sind groß, der Schlauchquerschnitt klein.Und auch der Anschluss an den Gartenwasserhahn kann ein Adapter-Hürdenlauf werden.Sie müssen schon ein wenig basteln und Improvisationstalent mitbringen …… und als nächstes probiere ich den SKILL für Tuya-App auf ALEXA aus und bin mal gespannt, welche Sprachkommandos ich an das Ventil übertragen lassen kann – vermutlich nur an und aus.

Bei diesem Set mit Beregnungsschlauch und Timer ist quasi schon alles dabei. Das Ganze lässt sich zügig zusammenbauen und funktioniert auch direkt. Mit dem Timerteil muss man sich erst einfuchsen, funktioniert aber einwandfrei. Hochwertig ist das Set nicht, aber Preis- Leistung stimmt und die Funktion auch.

Dies ist eines der besseren Tropfbewässerungssets, die ich je benutzt habe. Alle Stecker sowie die T-Stücke und Endstecker haben Sicherungsmuttern. Dies stellt sicher, dass Sie ein schönes wasserdichtes System erhalten. Das einzige, bei dem es sich nur um eine Steckverbindung ohne Verschlusskappe handelt, ist der Wasserauslauf. Da der Ausgang jedoch nicht unter Druck steht, ist dies kein Problem. Wie bei allen diesen Systemen ist es besser, das Ende des Schlauchs in kochendes Wasser zu stecken, um ihn weich zu machen, bevor er auf die Stecker gesteckt wird, um einen guten und festen Sitz zu gewährleisten. Der mitgelieferte Rohrschneider ist sehr nützlich und sorgt für einen geraden Schnitt durch das Rohr.Mein Testaufbau bestand aus einem Tropfer und einem Endstopfen. Ohne meinen Wasserhahn vollständig zu öffnen, reichte der Druck für eine gute Menge Wasser aus jedem Tropfer aus. Die blauen und roten Tropfer sind verstellbar und das Kit enthält genügend Anschlüsse, um mehrere Tropferleitungen zu betreiben.Ich hatte ein paar Probleme beim Einrichten der App und der Wasseruhr, aber das lag nur daran, dass mein Telefon nicht von 5 GHz auf 2,4 umschalten wollte. Ich ging den halben Weg durch meinen langen Garten und schließlich wurde er umgeschaltet und die Einrichtung war abgeschlossen. Mit der App können Sie sie manuell für eine Anzahl von Minuten ausführen oder einzelne oder mehrere tägliche Timer einstellen. Es hat auch eine Zyklustimer-Funktion, die ideal in einem Ebbe- und Hochwassersystem wäre. Jetzt muss ich nur noch die Gewächshäuser ausräumen und sie für den Frühling fertig machen.
