Salt Block Holder

It's exactly what it is supposed to be. It holds a mineral block like it is designed to do. My goats havent said much of anything about it so I'm only going on my opinion.

I have used these salt block holders for years. They are easy to mount and they are made to hold the salt block.

Fits all known commercially available salt blocks. Well made. In my case a terrific vendor with great performance.

Living among a considerable deer population, we have long searched for a variety of animal friendly tactics to keep the lovely animals from devouring our plants and bushes (we've given up planting and / or growing most common flower species) and / or raiding the bird feeders (when sufficient snow raises their hungry mouths to the feeder level.) After starting with the “dumbest of the year” idea of setting up an actual deer feeding trough, in which we'd unload bags of deer food purchased from the local Agway (leading to an alarming rise of the four-legged guests visiting the property and, as a result, threatened to bankrupt us in no time), we bought a few of these, fastened them to trees along the deer paths, and filled them with various deer lick blocks. The deer lick blocks (and we’ve tried most of them) are regrettably not very popular with the deer evident from our Bushnell Night Vision Trail Camera). These holders hold the lick blocks securely, are made to last, and are unlikely to cause harm to animals (no sharp edges. Contrary to another reviewer’s comment, wildlife officials have not yet objected to the placement of the holders & lick blocks (at least not on our own property.) The screws that accompany the holders are, in our view, inadequate to provide a secure and lasting installation. We use different ones. In summary, while we can highly recommend these holders in terms of quality and intent, we're hesitant to endorse any particular lick block.

Not a whole lot to say about the holder. Works great. Great price. Arrived fast.

My horse broke this in a week. He’s not overly destructive or anything either. I feel like it’s just poorly constructed

Holder works fine but the mounting screws that come with it are junk. Two screws broke (head breaks away from thread). Just save yourself some aggravation and throw the packaged screws in the trash an use some you already have.

Simple, very solid, holds the standard bricks and is inexpensive - what else could I ask for?Had a bear play with it and it held up very well (look at the bear paws in the picture, you'll see a salt brick in this holder).
