Not easy to install, good for the money
Does the job of raising the handlebars. It could present a challenge to install, as the instructions on the packaging are incorrect, inaccurate, and grammatically challenged. YouTube videos should help with the installation process, and you may end up knowing a lot more about how a headset functions by the time you are done. Also, the logo is rather prominent and doesn't easily come off, I'm going to trying hitting it with black permanent marker. All in all, good for the money, not easy to install.Installation: you need to know that the bolt that holds your stem to the bike also is what holds the entire headset together, and adjusting the bolt is what adjusts the bearings in the headset. The entire stack, both the Weanas unit and your handlebar clamp, all have to be loose when you tighten the long bolt in the extender, so IGNORE STEP 1 in the instructions. Repeating that: everything has to be loose in order to tighten the long bolt, which pulls everything together and allows you to adjust your bearings.Tighten the long bolt so that your headset bearings move freely when you turn the wheel from side to side, and there is no clunking when you apply the front brake and shove the bike forward. Once that is done, then tighten down the bolts that clamp the handlebars and the bolts that clamp the extender.

Great Product
Purchased a Mongoose 27.5 Ledge mountain bike last year and really like the looks of the bike but couldn't get used to the pressure it put on my arms because I had to lean forward too far on the handle bars - am 67 years old and couldn't handle the stress - only used it a few times last summer(2015) because of that and was thinking about replacing the bike - just didn't enjoy riding it. I initially made the mistake a few days ago of ordering a stem extension for the bike, but my mountain bike doesn't have a stem that goes into the front shaft so I am in the process of sending the stem extension(also a nice concept for the right bike) back. After I did a little more research, I ordered the Weanas stem riser hoping this would solve my problem. When it arrived I had it installed in about ten minutes - was very easy and believe me when I say it, I need mechanical stuff to be easy. I pulled the handle bars off(they just slide off), slipped on the stem riser, and then slipped the handle bars on top of the riser - tightened everything up and now have a bicycle with handle bars raised about 4 inches for a comfort ride. I was fortunate that my brake and gear cables were long enough to adapt to this change and didn't have to change any of them. This is a great product.

BACK IS MUCH BETTER NOW WITH THIS STEM RISER
This is just what my sore back needed! I'm 6ft 5in tall and enjoy cycling several times per week. But the older I get the more I need a more upright riding position. This stem riser is the answer. Fit is quick and easy for a 1 1/8th inch stem. Included several shims which allowed me to adjust the height even more.Update: The original purchase works so great we ordered 3 more for each of our other bikes!

These are great for Schwinn Hybrid bikes! (and more)
If you have already maxed out the limited range of handle bar height adjustment, then get this. I got one for my bike and another for my wife's. Takes less than 15 minutes each to install. It's like getting a new bike and totally has removed pressure from our wrists while riding. This is a quality looking piece of kit and it comes with the spacers you need unlike some others you see on Amazon. I got black for mine and silver for my wife's so it matches them both perfectly. The finish is durable, does not scratch or come off when doing the installation and looks like it will easily last for the life of the bike._____________________________Update 4-16-16Just ordered another one of these for my Huffy DS9 Mountain bike. It's Huffy's top of the line mountain bike. I know it's still an inexpensive mountain bike, but it does not have the old style handle bar riser, like the cheapest of bikes. Any way, the new riser fits great. The ones I got for our Schwinn's still look like new, and make such a huge difference for riding. Every time I rode the Huffy, I lost the comfort advantage provided by the Weanas riser. Now the risers are on all 3 bikes. For the record our Schwinn bikes are the men's Midmoor and women's Broadway. We were able to keep stock cables on all three bikes.

This might not work if you have a carbon fiber fork.
This might not work if you have a carbon fiber fork. It requires that you have a "star fangled nut" in the steerer tube part of the fork. Most carbon fiber forks with a carbon fiber steerer tube require a compression nut rather than a star fangled nut, since the star nut cuts into the carbon fiber. The compression nut does not damage the steerer tube. If you do some web searches you will find that most people do not recommend using a star-fangled nut with carbon fiber. In any case this stem riser would not work with my Reynolds fork. This warning appears to apply to all the other stem risers I have seen here on Amazon. I am looking for a solution.

Saves your Hands and Shoulders - worked for me!
I think this significantly reduced the numbness in my hands using my mountain bike. We went on a trip involving five 50-mile days - tough! I was dreading the pain in my shoulders and hands - this made it bearable - not painless, but bearable. By the way, make sure to tighten the long bolt before you tighten the side bolts - I didn't do that it didn't snug up right and I had a really loose fork on my 1st day. Once I loosened the side bolts and snugged it up, everything was fine.

Easy fix thats cheap.
Hands were getting numb from the pressure of leaning with all my upper body weight. I looked on YouTube for an installation vid. Five minutes later using just 2 allen wrenches I had a comfortable set up for my MTB. It was a very affordable fix I recommend for taller riders. My seat was higher than the stem on the handlebars this fixed it. Super easy to install you will be glad you did it.P.S. my hands are still getting numb but it takes way longer rides to do it. But riding is way more comfortable now.

Excellent!
Installation was easy and it has a wonderful solid feel which is important for something as critical as this. I wouldn't want it to break or fall off during use. Of course it is heavy, but that can't be helped unless someone makes one out of titanium which would probably be too expensive for me.

Perfect Riser for bike handlebar.
Bought this to raise my road bike handlebar to have a more comfortable ride. It serves the purpose. Easy to assemble with all the necessary accessories. Material seems to be durable and of good quality. I like this very much and it is cost effective.

and am very happy with the results
This Stem Riser was exactly what I needed. I felt that my new bicycle handle bars were too low, which was causing me to have a little back pain after my first few rides. I looked on-line on how to raise your handlebars, and found this product. I found a few videos on YouTube on how to install it, and am very happy with the results. Not only does it look good on my bike, but I feel much more comfortable now being able to ride in a more upright position. Note when installing the stem riser, make sure to tighten the long bolt on the top of the riser first, before you try to tighten the bolts on the side of the riser.Oh and another thing you should know. If you're going to raise your handlebars, chances are that your front brake cable is not long enough. I discovered that this was the case with me, and as a result I had to replace my front brake cable. It wasn't that difficult to do myself, but again I had to research how to do this on YouTube. Thank Goodness for YouTube! :)

Great for people with back and neck issues.
It worked perfectly for me. I have back and neck problems and my bike stem was way too low. With this I could rise id and now I feel much more comfortable when riding even long trips. Loved it.
