This chest is beautiful. This is the second one that I have purchased and they all want one!The wood and decorative casing is just as it should be for an 'olde worlde' pirate's treasure chest but it is more than that - it also has a family heirloom feel to it and would make a very special present. The size fits nicely between the trinket size (usually not big enough to fit anything other than jewellery and the 'big chest at the bottom of the bed' which means It's the right size for all the little treasured toys that kids collect.I believe anyone would feel 'treasured' when receiving this. Just to add: the communication to make sure it arrived on time was exceptional.Thank you.

Disappointed that the feet on the box are four pieces of wood cut from scrap wood into triangles and glued to each corner. The feet do not match the overall shade of the box and therefore, look awful and cheap. I'll need to varnish the feet with a dark shade myself to solve the problem. Shoddy craftsmanship. Hence, the one star.

I am making up a 'treasure chest' of craft stuff for my daughter from Santa (she is 4 and obsessed with Jake). This is a perfect size, looks real and I'm sure she will love having it as somewhere to store her treasures once the crafts have been taken out.

This chest was bought as a gift and it's so nice I really wanted to keep it for myself (I'll buy another one for me). The chest is sturdy and well made and looks wonderful. I definately recommend this item!

Bought this for my 10 yo son for Christmas as he is into pirate stuff and filled it with presents. He was delighted with this and keeps all his treasures in there.
