Definitely watch this
If you’re a Kittie fan, then you’ve probably found yourself asking these questions at some point; Where did they come from? How did they get started? Why do so many members come and go? Whatever happened to that one member? What are they going to do now? All of these questions are finally being answered. It definitely felt like I finally got a glimpse into a band that mostly keeps people at arms length, and rightfully so it’s about the music and not what goes on behind closed doors after all. However when you follow someone’s career for years and years you’re going to get a little curious about the individuals and the behind the music story. This documentary gives you just enough without going into too much detail. It is only an hour and a half long, I’m sure their story is waaaay longer than that and there are still tons we don’t know about this band, but I kind of like that. It keeps the mystery going. There were only two things I was kind of disappointed with;1. Talena and Lisa refused to be in the documentary, which is a shame (and kind of misleading since they were in the trailer) because I just got into Kittie around the time Talena joined so I was really interested to hear about her time in Kittie and why she decided it was time to leave. Morgan and Mercedes do touch on this but don’t give very much detail and I would have liked to hear Talena’s personal opinion. I also wanted to hear what Lisa had to say. Oh well.....2. I was hoping for more behind the scenes footage from when the band first got started. I realize it was the late 90’s so you couldn’t exactly whip out a phone and start recording whenever, but there are little pieces here and there throughout the film that I would have liked to have watched in their entirety. Which would have been really cool if they had added a bonus features section where you would watch all of that.

Kittie: Warrior Princesses
I became a Kittie fan back in 2002 simply by accident. Coming from an uptight conservative background, metal music was considered the Devil’s symphony (haha! I know!). While trying to figure out how to use a DVD player which I borrowed from my older brother, it played a burned cd containing metal bands videos and a clip of Brackish live recording was track #1; and from that moment on, I was hooked.By joining a club message board back then called KittieWorld/Loudforum, I got to learn more and more about their back history, current line-up and most importantly, the gossip! It was amazing to meet all the other fans whom are still close friends to this very day.Kittie: Origins/Evolution tells their story from a very sincere and mature perspective. Now we know exactly what was really going on with their record companies, producers and previous members. Their strength to endure the rollercoaster ride throughout the past 20 years is something admirable and impressive. Trish’s message to the fans was a heartbreaking scene. She was truly a wonderful addition and gone too soon.Even though some of the original fans grew apart from the metal scene in later years, we always come back strong cheering for the girls whenever they have a new project because that what families do. It is like having these very cool talented older sisters trailblazing their own path in life.I wish nothing but the best for you, ladies. In my heart, I hope a new chapter unfolds with lots of success and happiness.Love XO

Order now!! A definite must have.
I've been a fan of this band since 1999 and I have followed them throughout their entire career. Spit is the one and only album I have literally spun so many times that I had to buy another copy. That was back in 1999-2000. I prefer the current version of this band and I must say that "In the Black" and "I've Failed You" is their best work to date. I have been waiting a long time for this documentary and it did not let me down. I don't have a single complaint... wait maybe I do... I wish it was longer : ) This package comes with 1 live cd, doc dvd and doc bluray. Nice package. No booklet (which would have been cool) but its all good anyway. I really enjoyed getting the scoop on why past members left and why they got new ones. I enjoyed watching the studio footage and seeing the process of a lot of their hard work come to fruition. It broke my heart watching them discuss the passing of their father. Without him and a lot of his hard work I think the journey for KITTIE would have been even harder. This band has definitely had its share of ups and downs. The Lander girls truly have something special between them. I will continue to follow this band if and when they continue to make new music. Do yourself a favor and order this package. You will NOT be disappointed, I promise.

As an old head and fan of rock, this was a great reminder of where modern day female metal began

Kittie in an amazing documentary.. must have dor any fan of metal !
This was refreshing for any riff merchant or fan of metal , what a great story the troubles and way things just were so unpradictible . I had heard a few story's but till you see these amazing ladies explain the details it adds so much more to what you thought you know of one of the best female fronted bands in metal , in my opinion.Let's say if your a fan you will love it and get a great live CD also , but the documentary was an amazing , sad ,happy and contagious and intense look into the lives of all that ha e worked with kittie. Great stuff. And the metal world is ready for a long awaited come back from this increadible band. Take no prisoners makes no excuses very bold film, that make you scream one more CD please.Thank you to one and all involved. You have quenched the thirst of one in many fans ...for now. 😉😊
