From Coroplast to Pro Mold Housing: A Game Changer for Custom Soaps
TL;DR: Upgrades your DIY custom molding process from messy coroplast to reusable, stackable "Adult Legos." Flexible sizing, stackable height, effortless unmolding, and saves serious time—just be ready to buy extra silicone! Review: My coroplast DIY mold setup just got a massive upgrade, and I feel like I'm going pro with my own set of Adult Legos! I had been putting off a belt buckle soap mold project because making molds out of coroplast and plexiglass is time-consuming and the results are unpredictable. With this mold housing, I don't have to worry about that anymore. Building it was super easy and gives you plenty of sizing flexibility. It's actually quite spacious—larger than I strictly needed for a single soap bar—so I can easily double up my projects and get two molds out of this kit per batch. You can also stack the pieces vertically for even more versatility. Unmolding is going to be a breeze thanks to the glossy finish, but even better, every piece comes apart individually. You don't have to pry or force anything out—just disassemble the housing around your cure! My only real concern now is how much silicone I'm going to end up buying and trying to restrain myself from molding everything in sight! Sturdy Mold Pieces, But You'll Need Extra Binder Clips and the Booklet Isn't Very Useful
The actual mold housing pieces in this kit are nice and solid, definitely well made plastic that feels like it can handle repeated use for casting projects. The interlocking design is a smart concept too, being able to build different shapes and sizes with the same set of pieces is a great idea for anyone who wants flexibility with their molds. Where things get tricky is in the assembly. The pieces don't want to stay together on their own until you get binder clips holding everything in place, so building your shape takes a bit of patience at first. The bigger issue is that there simply aren't enough binder clips included to secure all of the pieces in the set. If you want to actually use every piece for a larger build, you'll need to grab additional clips on your own, which feels like an oversight for a kit that's supposed to be a complete package. The included booklet was also a bit of a letdown for me. I was expecting some general guidance on using the housing kit for different projects, but it really only covers the mold housing itself on a single page. The rest seems geared toward promoting the company's own silicone, so if you're not planning to use that specific product, the booklet doesn't offer much practical value. Overall, the core pieces do their job and feel like good quality plastic, but the lack of sufficient clips and the thin instructional material bring down what could otherwise be a really convenient system for mold making. It works well once you have everything in place, it just takes some extra effort and possibly extra purchases of clips to get the full use out of it.

Not Silicone—Unfortunately Not Suitable for My CP Soap
I thought this was an adjustable silicone mold, so I purchased it specifically to use for cold-process (CP) soap. Unfortunately, that is not what I received. The mold is actually made of rigid plastic pieces that are assembled and held together with clips. There is also no bottom to the mold. Instead, it comes with double-sided tape that is supposed to be used to secure the mold to a surface. I don't think this setup would work well for my CP soap. The soap batter is liquid when I pour it, so unless the mold is sealed completely around the bottom, the soap could simply leak out. The adjustable design is an interesting concept, but unfortunately, this isn't suitable for the way I make CP soap.

Great for making your own molds
This adjustable mold housing kit is really cool and easy to use. It comes with everything you need to create your own silicone mold boxes, including corners, center pieces, half-center pieces, binder clips, adhesive bottom films, and double-sided tape. I love that it’s adjustable and can be assembled into up to (36 different mold box sizes) using different combinations. The pieces are made from durable ABS and are about 2.5 inches tall. You can also stack multiple layers if you need a taller mold. It’s simple to put together and works really well for making silicone molds, candle molds, soap molds, and more. Just make sure to properly seal the bottom to prevent leaks. This is a very handy kit for anyone who makes their own molds, especially for resin projects.
