I've used many shows for lifting. From $125+ New Balance running shoes, to Nike Free Run shoes that feel like you're not wearing any shoes at all(these are alright if they fit you. I have wide feet and mostly flat as well, my arch/bridge only comes off the ground a little bit, and these fit great. They are wide enough for my feet and the sole is flat so it also feels like nothing's on your feet. Very good for working legs, especially calf exercises. I prefer doing calf raises and most leg exercises such as squats and leg press without shoes, but even with socks, I'm kinda germaphobic and rather not use any machine or equipment without shoes. These shoes fix that problem for me. I was first looking at the original otomix stingray but they weren't for wide feet. When I saw the otomix ninja warrior and saw that they had a wider toe OC and fit to them, I immediately ordered them as I love the way they look as well. I was deciding between these and the Nike Romaleos 2, the Nike have a strap on them so it's a little better for deadlifting but I don't like the low top look, I like the high top. So first of all, these fit perfect for my wider than average and flat feet, the sole is pretty much flat and very flexibly so it feels like you are barefoot but you're actually wearing shoes, they are high tops so if you lace them all the way up, they will support your ankles and well, and last but not least, they look awesome. The best looking weightlifting and MMA/boxing training shoes and the most comfortable shoes I've owned. I can wear these all day and even out if I really wanted to but I want these to last so I only use them for lifting, mma and fight training.
