As far as I can see, great test kit for Tropical Aquariums, checked the results against my test tube kit and appeared as accurate, the big difference between new and old it the ease of use and the timed saved carrying out water tests.

I tried these along side my usual testing method as they're cheaper but they're not too accurate and the amount you get in a huge tub makes me question why the packaging is designed the way it is. Even cutting them in half to double the number of strips doesn't make it worth the price. I'll be spending the extra in future for a product that is accurate each time and is well packaged with a good number of strips.

The results are consistent. Easy to use and read.

Some of the ammonia test sticks are white (containing no active chemical in the strip, required for a valid test), some are a light shade of yellow/green, these are the ones with active chemicals that can gauge ammonia. The white ones do not work are totally inert and are useless. The active ones are inconsistent and unclear, very disappointed with the poor quality after reading mostly good reviews - please read the negative reviews. I've now got to go through the full of returning these, and going to a physical pet shop for some advice on finding quality ammonia tests.... meanwhile my fish are still stressed.
