Very happy with it so far
Purchased a few weeks ago. Very happy with it so far. Recommendation to buy a sewing foot set from Amazon. I purchased this set: Wisehands 32 pcs Sewing Feet for Low Shank Embroidery Machine Brother Baby lock Bernina New Home Janome Juki Kenmore Singer. They work great. Do not buy them from your local sewing store. You can get the whole set for the price a local store would charge you for one foot! The only thing I do not like about it is the bobbin removal. Could of made it easier to get the lid off. Or maybe I am just used to my other sewing machines. I make fabric bowls from clothesline and the machine works strong and steady. I would recommend this machine to any home. Just be aware it is not an industrial machine by any means.UPDATE: 5-20-2016 Been sewing a lot with this machine. No problems what so ever. Would highly recommend.UPDATE 11-6-2016 Still using this machine quite a bit. I love it! Very nice. No problems with the machine at all. I just added the top which shows all the stitches it has.UPDATE 09-26-2018 Still using this machine quite a bit. NO problems with the machine at all. I am still recommending the machine.

I am extremely disappointed. Before purchasing this machine I researched and read ...
Long story short, the machine I received was a lemon. It is on its way back to Amazon. I am extremely disappointed. Before purchasing this machine I researched and read all available reviews, and tested it at a local dealer, (they did not have one in stock). I thought I made a good choice. When my machine arrived this morning, I unpacked it, plugged it in and attempted to wind a bobbin. Alas, not one bobbin included in the box. I used a generic plastic bobbin that I ordered as extra when I ordered my machine. I threaded the machine with good quality thread and pushed the yellow button. Nothing. after several attempts I finally wound the bobbin using the foot control. Then I threaded the machine and tried the needle threader. I put the wheel in proper position for the needle to be at the proper level and again, fail. The tiny prong that needs to go through the needle eye failed to hook in every time. I tried and tried for over 30 minutes without success. I changed the needle and made sure it was inserted correctly. no success. I finally just hand threaded the needle determined to test the sewing. I set the tension wheel at 4 and began to sew. Horrible stitches, skipped stitches. After checking the bobbin, threading, and tension multiple times, I just gave up. I unplugged the machine and repacked it for return to Amazon. I am an experienced sewer and was looking for a machine to do both garments and quilts. I thought this was it. How disappointing! Sewing should be a joyful activity, not an exercise in frustration.

Awesome for Beginners and for Furthering your Hobby!
I got my first sewing machine 10 years ago. It was a Singer. During that time I made chair slipcovers. And let me tell you the amount of times the needle broke or got jammed.. It was ridiculous. I almost swore off sewing. But as a mother of 2 kids and frequenting stores that did not carry skulls for clothes other than Halloween time?!? I decided it was time to jump in again! I bought a Brother Serger off Amazon but the only issue is that its not as precise as a sewing machine. I researched for a LONG time before deciding on this. I almost got a Jenome but read horror stories about the bobbin jamming. So I finally took the plunge and bought this one...I seriously cannot be happier!!! I am still a beginner but the EASE of threading this machine and the effortless sewing is AMAZING! its sleek and comes with a hardcover which is awesome if you have kids. It's visually pleasing and quiet. I love that there is speed control. Overall I am just excited to sew again!!

Juki Excite - a quality machine at an unbelievable price!
I recently purchased the Juki Excite for one home. When I found I had to have one for my second home (I don't have room to transport a sewing machine back and forth) I didn't hesitate to purchase a second Juki Excite because of the affordable price and the quality performance. I've been sewing with the Juki Excite nonstop for two months and it performs better than the $1400 sewing machine it replaced! I am a quilter and also make handbags. The motor is tough enough to get through thicker layers of fabric, batting, and interfacing for the handbags I make This machine was recommended to me by my independent sewing machine repair person. He repairs all types of machines and says Jukis are one of the most reliable machines out there. I trust this man and am very happy with my purchase. I also have a Juki TL 2010 Q which is a semi-industrial machine that I use for quilting larger projects. Both machines serve me quite well! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Juki, including the Juki Excite Hzl-g210.

Amazing sewing machine. Glad I made this purchase.
Compared to my previous simple machine this computerized machine is amazing. It seems to do all the work for you. It's easy to choose stitches and adds the capability to do lettering. I didn't have that ability in my old machine so that is a step up. A review on this machine at http://www.sewinginsight.com/juki-sewing-machines-and-serger-reviews/ indicates that this is a heavy duty machine able to handle heavy materials and multiple layers. That was the deciding factor for choosing this brand and model along with the price.
