Fantastic Artist and Amazing Crochet All In One Book
One of my favourite women and one of my favourite crochet designers, all in one book.Lee is a fantastic designer, and I have admired her designs for years, She creates designs that are fun, adorable, functional, wearable and a joy to create.Beautiful series of crochet designs inspired by Taylor Swift, so lots of hearts, beautiful garments and accessories as well as some home decor, and a gorgeous Taylor doll. The patterns are for two levels - easy and experienced, so there will be something for every skill set, and there is a Skill Level graphic on each pattern that goes from 1 to 4 so you will know if it’s a good fit for your experience. The first thing I want to make, and believe me it was difficult to narrow it down to one, is the ‘Lover’ Pillow. It’s a gorgeous design and very eye catching, although the ‘Karma’ Cat Bag is also calling to me.The patterns are well written and very detailed. Each one has all the information you will need to crochet every design.I also love that throughout the book there are little quotes from Taylor. If you are a Taylor Swift loving crocheter then you need to add this book to your collection.

Beautiful - shame about corner of book
Literally just received and the corner of the book is damaged. Book is beautiful though.

Disappointed
I was really looking forward to this book but it’s been quite disappointing! The yarn needed in most patterns has been discontinued for starters. Secondly, there’s no actual written pattern for one of the biggest project in the book (the Enchanted blanket). My daughter loved this blanket so I was setting out to make it for her….literally no pattern. There is a graph set out on the opposite page but the graph isn’t broken down into rows to be able to follow it. There’s a QR code to scan which shows the graph of the blanket broken up but over 17 pages and not in rows at a time, in blocks yet the blanket isn’t make up in blocks to be seen together, it’s continuous. I’ve crocheted for years and I’d consider myself to be pretty experienced and can attack a good challenge of a pattern but I’ve NEVER come across something so badly done, especially for something I’ve actually paid for! I feel robbed by the fact I’ve paid for a pattern book without the actual pattern in. I’ll have to dig out my old printer to try and print the pattern off and lay it out to make it up but those who don’t have a smartphone to scan the QR code or have a printer to do this will miss out. So disappointing!

GRANDDAUGHTER’S A SWIFTY
My 44-year-old daughter noticed the sweater and mentioned that she saw the sweater on the Swift merch page. Swift sold this sweater in pale blue in the past….hint….hint…hint. Mom, I would wear that!I bought it to make my 8yo granddaughter something for the holidays. There’s a variety of skill levels and yarn yardage needed so there’s something for every Swifty in this book.

Recommended yarns are all discontinued
I am trying to make any of the sweaters and all of the yarns are speciality and have been discontinued by Lion Brand yarn. I went through my Joann Fabric tonight looking for ANY yarns that could go with the project and they were just not there. After some internet searching they don't exist anymore. I will be able to sub in other colors once I figure out an equivalent. The one that will be really hard to swap is the yarn for the Wildest Dreams sweater which is a discontinued Christmas yarn that I have not found any similar product out there. It's a cute idea, but it really needed to be made with yarns that were going to be easier to find.
