I purchased these with screen protectors to try and take care of a nice electronic investment / Christmas gift. Wanted it for my Forerunner 235 as my previous 110 was beefy and rubber-clad, so I wanted to make sure what seems like a more advanced, but a little more delicate model would be protected/add and extra layer of water protection over the buttons (even though the watch is rated water resistant to 50m for 10 minutes). This skin seems to do so, although I've only run with it once. Looks like it'll protect it from scratches mainly, maybe being a "sacrificial" layer, that would need to be replaced if knocked against something abrasive. Thin silicone, but I like that as it doesn't bulk up the watch while running.
