I like the frame, lotsa possibilities to mount without a hassle, the cast blades seem more durable than pressed sheet metal, and the small amount of extra weight is nice when the wind blows at JUST the wrong angle to try and lift 'em . . . we get kinda whippy-windy in the "Authentic Northwest", which can leave you up at night and cranky, so when the blades don't flop, I sleep better . . . . Review: Perfect replacement vent cover! - This grill is a total winner. I was struggling to find a vent that could fit a large hole in the siding after removing a relic of a vent from a 1920"s flip. I went to several local hardware stores, home depot and lowe's included to find a vent that was gravity assisted (in that when my tenants turned it off, it would close and not allow bugs or cold air come back in but also allow hot air from the shower and dryer escape easily. This grill had everything I was looking for including a nice, low profile design, and it was affordable. Sure beats what was there before! I installed it myself, instead of paying the fortune that I was quoted for a couple of HVAC guys to put other vents in. Do it yourself all the way!!
