The Feiyue has been in circulation in China since the 1960s and is particularly popular with martial artists. Meanwhile, these canvas shoes have made the leap from Shaolin to every Kung Fu school in the world. No wonder, because the shoes are tailor-made for intensive martial arts training. The canvas uppers are hard wearing, lightweight and breathable. The stitched uppers are glued all around to the vulcanised rubber sole and can therefore withstand demanding martial arts training. Thanks to the uniform thickness of the sole, kicks, jumps and deep stances feel like you are doing the exercises barefoot. This minimal shoe principle promotes the natural position of the foot and ensures an even development of the muscles. The Feiyue is ideal for wider feet, because the fit is very generously cut. Thanks to the metal-reinforced eyelets though, the shoe still stays firmly on the foot. In terms of longevity, the Feiyue is a little behind our Shuang Xing. Especially in outdoor training and grinding steps, the soft rubber sole can wear off within a few months.
