I used the foam to remove the audio path from a speaker output bouncing off the ground. I wanted the direct path from the speaker to a microphone placed 1 meter in front of the speaker to observe the speaker output from 20 Hz to 20 KHz when applied with a flat swept sinewave. It seems to work well.
