Needed a quick fix to a fireplace situation. The product does its job, but that's it. Don't use the skinny strip of wood for mounting. Get yourself a 2 x 4

I was a little worried ordering this because the picture doesn't show much and the detial on this is minimal. When it arrived, I was impressed with the quality of the wood and design. Install was easy and it looks great above my fire place.

Item came quickly but was very poor quality. I didn't expect fine hardwoods or perfect craftsmanship since the item is fairly inexpensive. I was still quite disappointed... There we're multiple significant dents in the mantle. Visible saw marks and both corners were damaged. The mitre seam on one end wasn't sealed and the wood at that end was split. There we're nails sticking out of the wood. Very poor quality... Do not buy this item.

Looks GREAT over our fireplace. I did use a larger hanging board than came with it, and there was a slight indentation on the mantle from the packaging, but the product itself is exactly what we wanted.

I was nervous about buying this sight unseen and mounting this onto brick ourself. Well all I can say is it looks Amazing!!!! I would have paid a fortune for the same thing from a carpenter!!!
