Slow and not CE certified.
First thing I noticed when unpacking was that it has NOT been CE certified - so shouldn't be getting sold by Amazon in the EU. The "equivalent" CCC Chinese certification doesn't satisfy EU standards.The kettle lead and kettle socket in the power supply are a very loose fit. The slightest movement of the cable or power supply will result in the kettle lead falling out.While so far I have only used it for cloning a laptop hard drive to a backup 2.5 inch SATA II drive using the supplied USB cable - I have concluded that it is dreadfully slow - the USB port only seems to sustain about 1/3 (or less) of what USB 2.0 should be capable of doing.So yeah, it works. But if you want something speedier - or perhaps more importanly - can legally be used in a work environement - look elsewhere.

Cheap, cheerful, and does the job.
Positives: A had a dozen old disks that I had yanked from my old PCs through the years, and wanted to check over before assigning to the great bit-bucket in the sky. This docking station did the job admirably.Negatives: This was great for a day's work, but fitting the slideable power connector (adjusts to be able to fit different drives) into drives proved a little fiddly. It never took more than 30 seconds for each drive, and once connected was absolutely fine, but if I was using this on an ongoing basis i would definitely have looked for something easier.Definitely on the budget end, but you can't hold that against it at the price that you pay.

Cheap Junk
The very first time I put a SATA drive in this, the flap broke. Virtually impossible to insert an IDE drive unless you enjoy bent pins.

Use this all the time now as I have IDE ...
Use this all the time now as I have IDE drives that I no longer can fit inside the PC case, so this works without any problems

Makes transferring data from my old drives to new drives a doddle.

and two months in a warm room Tooploo rescued all my data. It took time but there was a lot of data to rescue.
