Good once setup correctly. out the box - terrible
I was really about to send this back to picture quality was so bad. Nothing I did seemed to fix it, until I finally realised how to change it - so if like me you found the picture abysmal, its basically because it adds massive amounts of 'sharpening' by default. i.e. surrounding any bright bits with black bits. To turn this off to 0 you need to be on the input your want to change (its per input so do it for hdmi, do it again for android apps). Once done pixels finally appear as they should and it actually produces a nice picture. After installing KODI it plays anything you throw at it, including 1080p h265 stuff. The speaker is actually remarkably ok. I mean Its not great, but it's not too tiny if it is your only option. One other tip - the delay after pairing bluetooth headphones is comical (0.5 seconds!). So you will have to use the option in KODI to move the audio 500ms forward of the video to get them in sync. Noise wise, it's not massively loud, but feels like its louder than it really needs to be. You'd need a reasonably high volume level out of the in built speaker to mask it.
