Deep blue sparkling seas against turquoise skies with seagulls wheeling overhead was the inspiration for this fused glass decoration. I have created this lightcatcher by cutting dark blue sparkling glass, sprinkling turquoise glass along and hand-painting two seagulls. Designed and hand-crafted by me in my studio in East Sussex, this blue sea wall art is created from layers of art glass, fused together in a specialist glass kiln at 800 degrees for around 18 hours. Hang it on a wall, in a window, on a mirror or even in your garden! Your blue sea suncatcher will look similar to the one pictured but not exactly the same. Your hand-made fused glass art sun catcher measures approximately 3cm wide by 9cm long plus the wire hanger. Your fused glass art will come placed in an organza gift bag. I will also carefully bubble wrap your fused glass and it will come posted in a cardboard box to ensure it's safe delivery. Every piece is unique and individual and no two pieces ever look identical. Your glass will look very similar to the piece in the photographs, although not exactly the same. This is because the glass is heated to 800 degrees in my glass kiln in order for it to fuse together. During this process, some of the small pieces of glass may move around slightly.
