If you have a 100 set you'll notice a black boarder around the silicon on the surface of the panel, whereas the entire surface area on the 300 panel is covered with silicon. **Q: When charging via usb do i switch the lights on or off?** A: the waterproof battery pod would be outside. the easiest way would be to detach the solar panel and light string and bring the pod inside for charging. if you're using a portable USB charger (like for a phone etc) then you could charge outside without detaching the wires, doesn't matter if they are switched on or off. **Q: I have not received any instructions with my delivery** A: Just make sure the solar panel is displayed where it will get most sunshine and it’s switched on. **Q: Are these solar lights brighter than other less expensive lights?
