Massacre at Buffalo Valley [DVD]

I think the comparison on the cover to 'Last of the Mohicans' movie is very misleading, I think a preferable likeness could be made to 'The Sound of Music' without the music. Surprising as it is supposed to be based on a true story? Everything looked so clean and pretty, even the characters, not top of my list for a western movie I'm afraid!

Not sure which is worse, the 'made for tv' acting or the lazy script. Ultra-simplified pseudo-historical anti-English tripe. Native American portrayal is a joke. Who on earth wrote this rubbish?

The re-packaging and re-naming of this movie cannot hide it's 'made for TV' roots. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing except, in this case, the quality of the playback was not good. Story was ok, acting was so-so but shortfalls in the budget clearly showed. What a pity....

At first I thought here we go a love romance but no such thing. This film is based on the northern America's when the English colonies had Philadelphia. Its based on a true story where the daughters are taken by the Indian tribe of that nation at the time. The excitement and how they survived and how they got on with the tribe too joining back with their families is a true epic not to be missed. Be ready for happy tears at the end. This is a must see.

Great concept based loosely on the story of a real emigrant German family's struggle in the pioneering US in 1755. Started off really well and detailed the struggle between the various faction vying for land, the British, the French and. of course, the indians. However, kinda fizzled out of ideas and turned into an ending found in Little House on the Prairie. Interesting historically but failed to deliver on the stroyline.

The description is deceiving, its an ok movie, not what i expected.

This was interesting, done in a documentary style with enacted scenes. The history was accurate, which added to the interest.

Mum saw this on TV a few time and loves it loads so she asked me to get it her on dvd
