The sonic repellent vibrates and emits sonic pulses penetrating the soil to irritate moles, snakes, gophers and voles, who are virtually blind and extremely sensitive to sounds and vibrations. The high-pitched sound will create an unbearable environment for those underground burrowing pests to stay and force them to leave the property and seek out other places to live. The mini LED garden lamp is lighting sensitive controlled through the solar panel. While switching it on, during day time, the light will be off when the solar panel works; In night time, the light will be turned on when the solar panel stop working. Please do not use it when your garden is cement or bricks ground as this will effect the transmission of the sonic wave. The Repellers can reduce the number of moles and snakes around your home, however, please keep in mind that it cannot be 100% effective as unforeseen circumstance may occur. Other External factors such as heavy equipment operating close by, or bush-fires may temporarily influence the effectiveness of the units. SPECIFICATION: 1. Solar panel; 2. Great product!
I put these in my yard the day I received them. It's been over 20 days. I'm really happy with the product. I used to have problems with moles digging up tunnels all over my lawn. They are all gone now. Since these are solar, I pretty much have nothing else to do once I stick them in my yard. They are super easy to install. Just connect the unit to the pole, then turn it on and find a place to put it. In addition, it comes with (2). So I can place one in my front yard and one in my back yard.

Works well, buz is annoying
I’ll definately say that I haven’t seen a snake in my yard since I turned these on. I’m taking away a star, because when I bought them I was under the impression that the noise from the machine would be fairly minimal; however, I find that to not be the case. They make a buzz that I am able to hear from my bedroom at night, and they randomly go off, so I have been woken up a few times. I would probably reccomend putting them away from windows/places you might be able to hear. My neighbors have not complained, however, their dogs bark at the buzzing. I live in an extremely quiet neighborhood with minimal traffic, so I would assume the noise is more easily heard than it would be in a high traffic area. Ultimately, it keeps the snakes away, so I am not unhappy with the product.

Works Well for My Situation
Bought the Solar Mole Repellent Snake Repellent Gopher Repellent stakes because I live near a pond and didn't want snakes or mice in the house I just moved into. Both are known problems in our area. So are deer and rabbits. Didn't have a problem all winter. Then came spring. Found rabbits and/or deer were eating my tomatoes and cilantro plants (salsa anyone?). Anyway, I moved one of these over to where the cilantro was as it was eaten weekly. Once I did this the herbivores stopped eating the cilantro. I presume it was a rabbit. Want to buy more but they are no longer in stock.

Noisy and ineffective
We have a problem with snakes eating the frogs in our small pond and I don't like them crawling near the house, especially the side door which we use almost exclusively. After installing the solar light, there may have been a reduction in traffic (who knows?), but snakes were sighted within four feet of both lights. Given that and the constant noise which sounds like a motorized grocery cart backing up, I pulled them up. Snakes are deaf by the way, but of course they can feel vibrations and heat. I am not deaf and found the noise irritating and mounding mulch around them did not help much.

Working
Update: still alive. Not working on fire ants tho.I bought this because I noticed a few holes on our lawn. I'm not sure if it was mole, rabbit, or something else.Plug them into the lawn last weekend, one in front yard and one in the back, and they start working right away. I hear the low sonic beep they make in the first few hours. And then they went to silent. Don't know how they detect the movement, but it seems working pretty well. Never seen new holes recently.

Weather resistant??? Loud!!!
Have two of these after about six months they both started letting in water through the top solar panel and both stopped working. As others have reviewed they are also pretty loud, even after I put them in the ground at the recommended depth.

SO NOISY!
I followed the instructions to a T, easy to assemble. However, when you actually put it into the ground you can hear the buzzing noise every 30 seconds VERY VERY CLEARLY. Very distracting. I did read the instructions and they say if you have a “noisy one” to add mulch around the unit. Nope.....buzzing was still very loud. It was so loud my neighbor came out and asked if I knew where that buzzing was coming from. Sending back for refund, will shop for something else.
