Bundle - Tonic Studios - Tim Holtz - Precision Craft Trimmer - New for 2023-3691EUS

I ordered this paper trimmer to replace the junky fiskars one I have. When it arrived it looked like a child had smushed in the ends to make it fit in the outer box, which was plenty big. I took it out of the box carefully to make sure there was no damage. Everything was fine with one exception, one of the spare cutting blades was damaged. I click on the link to contact the seller and it sent me to Tim Holtz customer service email. I let them know what had happened and Mario responded back hooking me up with someone that could help. I didn't want to send the whole thing back just for a bad blade, that seemed so wasteful. Tessa w/Notions contacted me and had sent out a pack of replacement blades. I'm a big fan of anything Tim Holtz has branded and I will continue to be a loyal customer. THANK YOU a great product and customer care.

This is a really good trimmer, but...I have issues with the grove or 'ditch' on the platform where the blade guides through the. paper. Bits of paper and shavings get into that ditch and build up causing a hazard for smooth operation of the blade and cutting. This causes paper tears and complete frustration. Precision is perfect, the blade seems quality. The bar that holds the paper down on the platform to cut is spring action which is a nice extra that allows you to adjust the paper without lifting the bar. I should also note that you can't really cut more than a few sheets of paper or one piece of double sided cardstock smoothly. Really thin paper is not something that is easily cut without ripping or jagged edges.

Have several Tim Holtz products, they are always top end products.

This cutter is so easy to use. I love that the cutting bar is spring loaded so that you can slide your cardstock in without lifting the bar and that your paper is held securely. It is not massive and bulky like so many other cutters and doesn’t take up much room and the cuts are crisp without fuzzy edges. I bought one for myself and have given two as gifts.

This is such a smooth cutter.. everything I’ve cut so far has been super smooth. Very easy to use and appears accurate.

Unfortunately I TRIED to like the cutter simply because it was Tim Holtz. Regardless of type of paper or pressure on the cutter, the paper will rip. Whether going up or down the paper rips. And since I waited to long to write the review or ship back, I am out the money with trimmer that doesn't work.

I’m not sure if anyone else had this problem but the packaging was loose so one of the blade came bent and scratched up the cutter.. luckily there’s an extra blade because the bent one is no good. It’s big but it glides so easily.. I like it. If they could fix the packaging issue it’d be 5 stars.
