This salt is only made with geothermal evaporation with no other interference with the natural process of salt making. For the black colour it is mixed with activated charcoal

Does this need to be used in a grinder

No you don't need a grinder. You just use your fingers to sprinkle the salt flakes. If you want the flakes in fine consistency you can use a grinder, mortel or just your fingers.

Does it dissolve in water? Will the water be clear?

Yes it dissolves quickly. No, the water is not clear. Its darkish.

Can you please confirm that this will be packaged and shipped with care? I want to buy but the main customer complaint is broken jars upon arrival.

My jar arrived in excellent condition with two other spices in that shipment. I usually select several items and Wednesday shipping. Have never had a problem with anything broken in shipping.

I was intrigued by the black colour and wanted to give this a try. I’m so glad I did as it is delicious and can enhance any dish, I paired it with a venison burger, pickle, cranberry sauce and made a homemade burger bun, which I sprinkled the salt on top of the bun. It is something of a treat as it was a little expensive but so worth investing in.
