Rome: Complete Second Season [DVD] [2005] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]

An excellent two season production. Not only does it tell you the history of Julius Caesar and Mark Antony but also lets you know what it was like to be a Roman, living in Rome at that time. The two central characters of Vorinus and Pullo are brilliantly portrayed by Kevin McKidd and Ray Stevenson. This HBO series is excellent.

i did not like the price twice the price of season 1 having watched season 1 you are a captive audience

Having just finished the first series, I was initially a little disappointed. That feeling soon dissipated. I am currently halfway through, and am looking forward to solving the dilemma posed - should I gulp it all in one glorious go, or eke out my enjoyment? Either way, it is very enjoyable.

A wonderfully produced series mixing fact with fiction in a clever and most entertaining way. Well worth watching.

A blast from the past. I watched this when it first came out a few years back. So was great to catch up with it again.

thoroughly enjoyed it. Compelling, gruesome, gritty, clever intrigue and shockingly perverse, with some great characters - yet at times hilariously funny and more camped up than a jamboree of scouts! HBO & BBC done good.Would love to have seen more in this series, but I reckon some of the successors wouldn't quite have been suitable for TV.
