This dress is absolutely gorgeous. I wore it to a family wedding. I wanted a high quality, beautiful lace, sleeves that covered my upper arms, and a midi length hem. I wear and 8-10 and am about 5’6”, but I ordered a Large for the bust size, and it is perfect. (My advice - if you’re at all busty, order one size up.) It has an easy-to-wear lining that is a perfect length, and no slip is required! The higher waist is not “poofy” but covers a wealth of sins, LOL! You don’t need to worry about eating when wearing this dress! I absolutely loved wearing this dress and will enjoy wearing it for other semi-formal events. It appears to be MUCH more expensive than it was. It was the clear winner between about 10 dresses that I ordered to try. It even won over its identical counterpart in red instead of black. I cannot recommend this dress highly enough!

I absolutely LOVED this dress. The quality of the lining and the lace was so impressive. I bought this as a last minute dress for my engagement session. I can't get over how beautiful the place looks in pictures. I'm a 34C and the top part fit me comfortably. I'm also 5'3 and the length was very modest and charming.

If you're on the fence about buying this, DO IT! I bought it for my small, intimate wedding. We got married at home in front of our fireplace, lit by candles. I wore gold and pearl sandals but wanted to go barefoot. This worked both ways! It was super comfortable too! I normally wear a M or 8 in dresses (9-10 jeans), I ordered a Large to be on the safe side with the sleeves. It was roomy, but perfectly so. The sleeves weren't too tight. I absolutely adore this dress!! You could dress it up with a sweet sash or bridal belt or something a bit more casual. The length was about mid shin and perfect. I wore it the entire night and even napped on the couch a bit and it wasn't the least bit uncomfortable. I wore a half slip and a white tank top underneath for "flash photography" sake.

Very lovely, the lace details are gorgeous and of high quality. The material is highly breathable so I wasn't too sweaty on my big day, it would also look great for an outdoor event like a picnic. The zipper is smooth and easy to use and the dress fit very well, fitted in the right places and loose in others. I'm a size 4 up top and size 6 at my waist and hips and a small fit wonderfully.

I sized up like everyone recommended. It's too big!I am a size 6 in banana republic and this fits like a 10. I'm 5'5 36c.Other than that it's a great dress

Wish I would have went with my normal size!! I wear an 8-10 in pants and ordered an xl after reading the reviews! If your ordering the long selve it's true to size. The xl looks like a night gown on me. Beautiful though! 5 on look and quality! Wish I had time to reorder!

This dress is very pretty and for the price is great quality, I was expecting something lower quality. Though the sizing is just plain odd. I am a curvy shape, normally a 6-8 in dresses that made this way with an A-line. It did not fit in the bust area, which to this date has never happened. Usually, if something doesn't fit it is my hips that make it not work for my body type. I had extra room in the hips which was very pretty and fit great there. It is worth it to order, just make sure you have enough time to return and order another size if it doesn't fit. If you don't have that time I wouldn't gamble on it. Great product and very pretty. Returning the medium size I ordered and re-ordered size large. We will see how the large fits.

My 6th grade daughter (11 years old) is in the school orchestra and needed a black dress for concert dates. She weighs about 100 pounds (her waist size is 28" and chest size is 30"), so we bought an XS. It fit perfectly. There's a bit of room in the chest for growth but little room for growth in the waist. The dress is elegant and lovely.
