If you are a business continuity professional you should buy this book...
I bought this book as I am an Business Continuity professional (MBCI) and I wanted to find out about the new ISO standard for Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS). The book is well written, has lots of useful information and told me all I wanted to know. The book is specifically about what an organisation would need to do to achieve certification to ISO 22301 (er, hence the title!) and therefore contains everything you would need to know to make sure that your BCMS was in line with ISO 22301 even if you didn't want to go for certification. The checklist at Appendix B I found particularly useful. Only 4* because I thought the layout could be improved slightly. The text font is a bit small and the line spacing could be opened up a bit, so the printed pages currently look quite dense. The font used for the Index is tiny. Given that there are almost whole pages given over to 'Action Sheets' (aka a blank area for your own notes) I would have thought that the layout could have been a bit more open without increasing the number of pages. If you are involved in business continuity management I would recommend that you buy this book. And nothing to do with the book but it's a bit strange that a book on the new ISO standard for business continuity is published by the British Computer Society (of whom I am also a professional member; MBCS CITP) and not the Business Continuity Institute!

meets the standard
the book is reasonable, links together with the standard is more of a reference than a text, is useful in ensuring that a BCM plan meets the standard and can be of sufficient quality to be useful

Waste of Money
This book does not do justice to the subject. The author is an auditor and hence the focus is only certification. Even here the author has provided general overview of all management system certification which is well known. Much better literature is available on the web (for example sample BCP) for free.
