Great film for fans of the original (in whatever version you may prefer). Likely less so for those new to the story.
For fans who liked the original movie, this does an excellent job of continuing the story. The mood, the plot, the characters, and the continuity are all honored. The sense of the world and the feel through the music and graphics are also maintained very well over the 35 year gap between the original and this.For folks who aren't fans of the former film (in whichever version you may prefer), I suspect the average review will be lower. The pacing is a bit slow, partly to accomplish the continuity and honor the original world the film created. Those who can't relate to the previous film may well find it too slow, and certainly won't get all the jolts (large and small) of memory, emotion, and context from the earlier film as the story plays out.As a big Philip K. Dick fan and Ridley Scott fan, I was afraid this would be a real letdown compared to the first film, which was one of my favorites for decades. Not so -- it was an impressive follow-on.

blade runner 2045
The original Blade Runner was excellent, that's why I bought this dvd. This movie sucks, very little action, no story line, mediocre acting. Very disappointed..

It was way too slow moving. The director could have cut at least 30 minutes out of the movie. It was not nearly as good as the original.

The 4k ultra hd blu ray disc version has greatly improved sound and picture quality over a standard blu ray disc when played through a ultra hd blu ray player and a 4k ultra hd tv with hdr (high dynamic range)

Amazing transfer of an incredible film.
Really like this one and it’s a great transfer to 4k hdr. Obviously you can tell it’s an old film but still one of the greatest scifi’s of our time and they’ve done a great job with the 4k. Perfect to go with it’s follow up 2049.
