Magnetic Tie Clip How did you come up with the idea for this product? Tie Mags started as an idea in a college dorm room. After my roommates began complaining about tie clips that never stay straight and tie pins that damage ties, the light bulb turned on and I told myself, "There has to be a better way to accessorize your necktie without damaging it." I spent that entire next summer testing prototypes and various methods, and found that using magnets would be the best solution. By the beginning of my junior year, Tie Mags was launched and I sent out the first order within 2 weeks. What makes your product special? Tie Mags is the only magnetic tie clip available. Tie Mag has been granted multiple patents worldwide with still some pending. Tie Mags is a tie accessory that will not damage any tie fabric and provide a different look than the traditional tie bar that goes unnoticed. What has been the best part of your startup experience? The best part of starting Tie Mags is the awesome feedback from happy clients all over the world.
