Westrock Coffee Company Muraho Espresso Blend, Medium Roast, 12-ounce Whole Bean (1 Pack)

I'm not a coffee snob in the least. To be honest, I like a little coffee with my hot milk and sugar. My husband though is all about coffee flavor and balance and what not. He loves this Westrock brand in all varieties - ground, whole beans and Kcups. I like these beans in my cappuccino through the espresso machine with frothed milk. However, as straight espresso, they are a bit too strong for me.

Very strong, complex flavor. Floral in nature but not particularly sweet on its own. I'm used to very simple coffee so it was a surprise. I ended up mixing it with some Aldi coffee to mellow it out when I drank it in the morning. Sister enjoyed it a lot (drank it black mostly) but I'm kind of on the fence about it.

Expired Product September 2020 - Bitter and Foul Smell. Expiration Date from over a year ago, maybe even longer than that since the roasting is usually 6 months prior. Company did not respond to request for refund.

Beans very light in color which usually indicates not fresh. Seems old.
