Lo Scarabeo,Italy Tarot of New Vision Miniature Deck

I usually draw my own tarot cards although I'm not an artist or even good at drawing. But I prefer my own symbols. Been reading tarot for decades and although there are some incredible decks out there, I have always felt more comfortable with the Smith-Waite one. Lately, I have been buying miniature decks to give to others when I pass (since I don't have much money and certainly no jewelry or antiques to bequeath). All this is to say, I have been buying miniature decks without really thinking about them or even reading the descriptions. So imagine my shock the day they arrived and I looked through them and saw they were all turned 180 degrees, facing sideways, facing backwards, and containing other people and symbols. I then read the description and was amazed and delighted to see that "New Vision" meant a different perspective. We get to see what is hidden behind the stone throne or even the chariot.For instance, instead of the yin and yang horses, we see a dark man and a light woman. If we look closely, we see they are chained to the back of the chariot like slaves. Does this mean we must warn the seeker to remember not to harm anyone while aiming for the prize (new job, etc.)? As tarot interpreters, we don't necessarily have to agree with what the card creator's subjects are seeing, but we are certainly prompted to think of all the possibilities that exist and pass that knowledge along to our questioners. I am enjoying this deck so much that I've bought the full-size one and will pass along the miniature one to my son who also reads tarot. Meanwhile, I am looking forward to doing even deeper readings in the future.

Some are showing the backStill need to use reversals as there's only 79 single-sided cards, but but it feels like I'm working more, which has helped my greatly and may take your interpretations in a new direction too--The deck and box are beautiful and well-made so will hold up to many years of use.CONS:Really disappointed that these tarot cards are half the full-kit, see the Vice Versa Tarot Kit (9780738754369).I expected art on both sides of these 78 cards, one side showing the front (day) and one side the back (night) view.What I received was a deck with 36 cards of the back view and not the front view. Subsequently, the deck feels incomplete. Pictorially speaking, I'd prefer a deck (double-sided or with double the cards) so I could at least see both the upright and reverse scenes, not just one or the other because it's confusing, I can't compare.

Great deck. Insightful pictures. Except I purchased a NEW one and was sent a USED one.
