HDMI Audio Splitter Adapter HDMI to HDMI and Optical TOSLINK SPDIF +3.5mm Audio Analog Audio Converter

I bought this item because I had a computer monitor with no speakers and I had a PC and XBox One attached to the monitor. My monitor did not have built-in speakers. I had speakers attached to my PC so I could hear from them but no sounds when I play XBox. I bought this HDMI Audio Splitter and connected it to the monitor and used my monitor USB port to power it up. Then connected an HDMI Splitter (that allows me to connect 3 HDMI devices) to the HDMI Audio Splitter and now I can hear sounds from either device!

This splitter works exactly as intended. The picture is pretty much identical to just the HDMI cable, and the price is reasonable. However, my only gripe is that the build quality is lacking. The plastic feels a bit flimsy with how thin the shell is, and even though this is going to be hidden out of sight and pretty much never touched again once it's set up, it still is a weak point of this device. Overall, I do recommend it though.

I bought this so I could hook up a Chromecast to a computer monitor. I have several 1080p monitors lying around but none of them had speakers or audio ports. I mostly listen to audio through headphones so a cheap converter box and this audio splitter were still a couple hundred dollars cheaper than buying a new 1080p TV. The cheap converter box I got from Walmart even has a DVR which is not always a feature of cheap TVs. I got all the functionality I wanted and more without spending $200 on a new TV. Even if this splitter did break I could order a new one and still be ahead. And the computer monitor can still act as an external display for my laptop by just unplugging the HDMI cord and hooking it into my laptop.

I’ve seen conflicting reviews on whether the 3.5mm headphone port works, and decided to try my luck. Unfortunately, I wasn’t among the lucky ones 😔The HDMI output is clear, but can’t get any audio output from the 3.5mm jack. I tried various headphones, flipped 2.0/5.1 switch back and forth, changed order of plug in cables... I got nothing but very minimal static white noise in my headphone.I don’t know if the SPDIF or COAXIAL works, but it isn’t how I plan to use it.Have to send it back, I guess.

Works but HDMI input connector loses connection resulting in no video or audio output. I use it with a Roku stick and frequently have to jiggle the connection to get it working. The same problem occurs with other HDMI devices and HDMI cables so it appears to be a problem with the converter itself and not the Roku or HDMI cables.It does not include the required USB power supply or HDMI cable(s). I knew this before ordering so it wasn't a problem. I've only tested the headphone (stereo) output but it includes 5.1 output and Coax and SPDIF connectors. A lot of features for such a low price! But the HDMI connector reliability is aggravating. I will keep it though because I don't use it that much and it is not worth the hassle of returning. I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't have connector issues.

I was looking for an inexpensive solution to get audio out from a Roku Stick into a 2.1 speaker system. I didn't need anything fancy and this looked like it would fit the bill for features and price. Even though it had a few low reviews, I decided to give it a try because of the price.I got it this afternoon and hooked it up -- installation took just a few minutes. When I fired up the system, I got a big smile on my face, because it looked and sounded great. It worked exactly as advertised, and I think it's an excellent value.

Works fine. Oddly came with a micro-USB cable when the device requires a mini-USB cable.

The 1/8” audio was spotty from the get-go, occasionally cutting out. The power input became loose and finicky. Now, the light indicates it’s getting juice, but the 1/8” audio and video no longer work. I’ve had it for a few weeks.
