A pathetic, DANGEROUS product. The glass lid EXPLODED on first use. Here is the detail. First, it comes with nuts and bolts and you have to screw the handles in yourself (they arrived dirty!). The information online doesn't tell you this. Imagine having to assemble a kitchen utensil!! Ok, I screwed them in. The glass lid was not sitting properly. It was wobbling. I wondered if it would leak steam from sides. Poured some water, and put the idli maker on stove. Within a minute, the lid exploded into pieces. The glass shards were all over kitchen countertop. Luckily none hit me. Is this really toughened glass? Or a rip-off? In any developed country the vendor would be sued out of business for shipping a harmful product like this. I was deceived by the 4.1 rating. I contemplated another vendor before settling for this one, but opted for this only because it was delivering overnight (versus three days for the other). My impateince turned out to be costly and dangerous.

Product is amazing . Material is good . Steel quality is fine . Lid is of thick glass , which is very sturdy. U can also use it as serving utensil . Size is quite big . Overall a very good product.

The lid of idli dish could not withstand the washing in the dishwasher because of poor quality of material used to make the lid.
