Emergency: Buy This Movie
If you fancy a relaxed night in and want something low key but stimulating and engrosing then this is the film for you. Although not a 'comedy' it has some very funny moments and is a great look at aspects of modern life. There are many characters who's stories all touch upon eachother's but this film is anything but twee and you will find parts of yourself being genuinely moved. It basically reminds you that we are all small parts of the big picture and when we feel irrelevant and unseen we have to remember that we are not and all have our role to play in the big scheme of things. I've just recently bought this movie again for myself after previously buying it, wanting to share it with everyone I know and never getting it back. I like many genres but this is one of if not thee favourite film in my collection. It really is the kind of movie that inspires you to open your own cinema or start your own film festival. A true cinematic gem.

Curious
An unassuming, no-budget, no big-name-actors, not-much-happens gem of a film. Quirky and unsentimental it is also repeatedly quite questionable in its approach to children and yet carefully navigates a way through. Terrific meandering style and an unpredictability that is frequently laugh out loud funny, puzzling and finally happy-sad tearful in a fresh and satisfying way so you don't feel afterwards you've been slyly manipulated having had some tired old buttons (that you'd maybe forgotten you had) pressed one more time.

Great Film
People tell me that I like films where nothing happens; bear that in mind. This movie is directed, written by and features Amanda July. I found it hypnotic. In retrospect, it may be a 'chic-flick', in retrospect, it may be a very 'girly' take on life and again in retrospect it may be something of a fairy tale. However, none of these ideas occurred to me while I was watching it. There are some excellent bonus features. I would probably buy anything written or directed by this very talented lady.

No subtitles!
This is a movie Iβve been wanting to see for a long time, because it has such high ratings. Unfortunately, the distributors Optimum home releasing havenβt seen fit to consider those of us who are deaf or Hard of hearing and provided subtitles. If they can add a 30 minute interview, behind the scenes footage and cast and crew interviews, why not subtitles? For me, it is unwatchable.
