Review: Replacement leads for bright marks on steel and other dark material - As an entertainment fabricator, I build in different mediums....wood, steel, aluminum, composite. The one consistent thing is the 2.8mm mechanical pencil in the side loop of my DT carpenter pants. This replacement "lead" fits the 2.8mm round leadholders and makes bright, durable layout marks on steel, iron pipe, and darker composites. Not a soft wax marker that will melt in the truck.

I came across this pencil about 3 months ago I've used nothing since the refils are worth every penny for that person who already has a Tracer deep hole pencil if you haven't got one and you make things then get one there's even a tiny pencil sharpener in the body
