Tony Howland is not a professional writer or a 'diet guru', part of the corporate diet industry. By personifying the 'Food Monster', Tony has devised coping strategies to stick to a plan and to recover and start again on those occasions when the food monster breaks out.Having lost 3 stone (42 lbs) in three months from emulating Tony's techniques, I can highly recommend this manual and the methods within for achieving that golden objective; losing the weight for the last time!

Wish I'd had this manual 30+ years ago when I began abusing my body with food. Thought I was the only person addicted to food as you don't hear about this! A very honest, no nonsense and straightforward manual which means now I feel positive and motivated. 3 years ago I went down the gastric band route and although I've lost 12stones my Food Monster was restricted to a degree but not totally tame. Now I can move forward and deal with the issues that still remain.

no pointless 'diet' waffle just a good dose of practicle advice learnt from this mans own ...
I needed this! I have paid for all sorts of therapy over the years... No one could answer my question and help me understand why I would self sabotage my attempts at healthy eating.... This book has answered that and more. I am very grateful to Tony for putting this down in a very accessible way - it's short but to the point, no pointless 'diet' waffle just a good dose of practicle advice learnt from this mans own experience.

FINALLY we address the food monster!!! Easy to read and very helpful manual. Thank you Tony for helping me realise how normal it is to have a demonic food monster in my head. I have been telling the NHS this for years and just get worried I will be sectioned for it !! This manual and the facebook group are already helping me a great deal and I would highly recommend to anyone aflicted with a food monster!

Help at last
I used to despair when I looked on Instagram at slimming pages showing loads of food .Thank you for pointing me in right direction.A new mindset, help at last.

Not a good buy
Although it warns you that the book is only small i wasn't impressed with the lack of content.Also, the lack in quality of the content isn't great either as it didn't help in the slightest.Overall build seems quite cheap too.

Very badly written
I feel robbed. This small book had a couple of good pieces of advice but the appalling layout and grammar made it almost impossible to read. £7 For some unedited ramblings seems unfair. The author agrees he partly wrote this to generate cash. You'd think he'd have had the courtesy to have it reviewed by someone with a better grasp of English.
