Does the job
I’m not a fly fishing expert by any means so take my review with a grain of salt. Being new, this rod seems to do everything I need to. I’ve caught some large steelhead (28”) without fear of the rod breaking. Plus it’s light enough to fish for hours. Seems like a really nice value but I’ve never tried a different brand.

Great quality for the price
This is much better than what you would expect for the price. Both the rod and reel are great quality and will last me for years to come. The whole outfit handles well and is perfect for steelhead fishing.

Great saltwater fly setup
This is a wonderful setup at a very competitive price. I just started doing some fly fishing from shore fishing in SW Florida.

Lack of information
Tried to find out what line and leader come on the reel and was told by Orvis representative that they don't know? How can they not know what they are sending out to customers. The line is a WF Floating line and seems to be okay but I scraped the leader and bought what I needed. The unit is nice for a beginner set-up and I think it will last me a while.

Good quality fly rod and reel
Very reasonable price for a good quality fly pole. Was a little disappointed that there are no alignment marks on pole.

Great fly rod for the price!
Nice fly rod for the price. It’s well balanced and has so far handled any bass that I’ve hooked. Really happy with this fly rod. The fact that it comes pre-rigged is a plus.
