Great starter kit
The rod, real, and line are of sufficient quality to get anyone started without having to replace it soon after. The rod has good action and the line is of surprisingly high quality for the cost of the kit.

Fly reel is made of plastic.
The fly rod and case was of good quality, but the fly reel was made of "plastic" and not worthy of an Orvis fly rod combo. I was very disappointed with this purchase.
