Not dishwasher proof
This is appentley an exterior grade varnish that is resistant to boiling water and alcohol. It doesn't claim to be dishwasher safe though and not be intended for refinishing wooden cutlery handles which is what I used it for but given the above I thought it would work. Applied according to the directions 3 coats rubbed down after the first left until it had fully hardened after the last coat before use which was 3 days. They have only been back in use two weeks later it has all washed off, the wood is bare hand washed by me and intge dishwasher by my wife. This means I wouldn't trust it out side and interior use on anything that gets wiped down just once a week it's not going to last a yeer in my opinion

Disappointed
I followed the instructions exactly. And sadly the varnish turned patchy and yellow, furniture was clean and dry, wasnt exposed to extreme heat or sunlight, very disappointed as now have to sand again and repaint.

Very disappointed
I have been using this product for a few years now and I think they may have changed the formula. The one that had before it’s a kind of gold gloss formula and the one I purchased a few days ago is a white thin satin liquid. now I have bought a few of these tins over the years and they all have been a golden gloss but the gold has finished. I had to order another one and I’m really disappointed so I use these for my class which I sell all my small business and I tried to use the new one that came and it is definitely not the same as the original one that I’ve been using for years and they are both the exact same brand the exact same product the exact same can I think maybe they have mixed up the formula and put it into the wrong tub because there is a satin formula as well as gloss and a matte formula

Not protective.
I have used 3 coats of this varnish on a small table, as per the introductions. It does not have the protective finish polyurethane is known for. I found it to apply, and dry like a watered down varnish. The product was stirred well as it is supposed to be, and applied in thin layers. My opinion is that the varnish is suitable for low use wood to make it asthetically pleasing. However, it is not as protective as it claims to be. I will be going to a highstreet shop to buy a different product. The product turned out to be a waste of time and money.

Terrible product for sealing painted MDF
Avoid this ! I bought it to seal painted MDF. I tried a short pile synthetic roller and then a brush. No luck with either. Both methods left a horrible finish, even after a light sand and second/third coat. I wanted to try painting on a sealer as I’ve used the spray can types before which were fine but my recent project needed something I could paint on rather than.l spray.

Rubbish for kitchen worktops
Really disappointing. Bought for a kitchen worktop to seal after sanding and staining. I followed instructions and allowed enough time to dry between coats, I left for 24 hours after the final coat and then put items back on the kitchen worktop and they started sticking. In 6 weeks, it’s evident this has not properly cured. If the countertop gets a splash of water, the seal comes off, things stick to it and it seems to be a weak coating. Waste of money

Worst varnish ever
I followed all the instructions on the tin, table surface had been lightly sanded and dusted before application. Gave the table 2 coats of varnish as instructions. Now 4 days later the top is still tacky to touch and anything you put on the table actually sticks to it. I will have to restrip the top and apply another make of varnish !!!!

White turns yellow
Really not happy with this varnish, brought it because it says that it is clear so would have been perfect for my white draws however it has dried a disgusting yellow colour. I think it would be good on colours that aren’t white but beware that it turns yellow

Excellent product!
Great product! Very smooth texture and easy to apply. And each coat was completely dry within 10-15 minutes. I chose the satin finish and the results were as promised. Very low odor and water soluble, so clean up with a breeze.

Water base
Box was damaged. Can lid was loose. Polyurethane was leaking. Had to use it anyway, couldn’t wait. Too early to tell how long it will last.
