Awesome for the price!
Cheap and tastes decent. Not as good as the stuff I import from Japan myself, but definitely worth it for matcha I'll have a lot. I've mostly used it for iced matcha at work. I have already recommended it to a number of people.

Luv Green Tea
I like this powder. I purchased it to use in my tea pitcher and smoothies. No aftertaste and it blends well in smoothies. Just use room temperature water when initially mixing.

Wickedly Prime Matcha....Wickedly Good.
I am a big fan of green tea powder (Matcha) so I was happy when Amazon came out with their own brand. This bag has one ingredient: organic green tea matcha powder. While I prefer U.S. sourced food, this is from Japan (as in not from China) so I am far less prone to worry about the quality. This is culinary grade, so it is primarily intended for baking and cooking. You can absolutely drink it, but it will have a somewhat heavier taste than your basic tea leaves. Basically, it will be less sweet, more bitter and stronger. Now, if you mix it with other beverage ingredients, you won't find that to be the case.I like to make smoothies from it. My favorite way to have it is a green tea cappuccino. I add about a 1/2 teaspoon to a 6 ounce cappuccino cup. I then run my espresso machine and after it adds the froth and coffee, I stir up the powder. This gives a nice green hue to the coffee. I then top off the froth. This is my favorite way to consume my decadent cappuccino, along with my healthy matcha powder. I have also mixed it with yogurt and berries for breakfast. While I am not the type to insist that replacing other common ingredients with this powder results in a healthier, same-tasting version of the same recipe, it absolutely can be incorporated into your cooking and baking, and is an excellent way to reap the benefits of the powder.I love hot green tea, but have found the cappuccinos and smoothies a great way to get the antioxidants and metabolism boost from green tea without always having to sip hot tea.To me, this is a great product. Just keep in mind it is culinary grade, so if you are used to ceremonial grade, go a little lighter-handed until you get the taste you prefer. I have tried other culinary matchas before, usually whatever seemed to be good quality and decent price. I think this one has a place in the market in both those regards.

Good-quality matcha
I'm not typically a matcha drinker, but I do like to use it in smoothies. Matcha can be very pricey, particularly when it's organic, so I was excited to give this one a whirl. It's a really good price for the quantity, and I think the quality is comparable to more expensive matchas I've used.I've made smoothies with this twice, and I have to quibble a little with the directions on the package. They say to add two teaspoons to your smoothie mix, but I think this makes it too matcha-heavy. My first attempt to make banana strawberry matcha smoothies resulted in my needing to add more maple syrup because the smoothie tasted kind of bitter. The second time around, I used the same recipe but added one teaspoon of the matcha and the end result was very nice. The smoothie had excellent matcha flavor that complimented the fruit without being overly bitter.I plan to try making matcha lattes with this, and I also think I'll use some in matcha ice cream. I liked this product so much that the next time I'm in the market for matcha, I'm going to order a bag of this.Note: once you open the bag, you do need to keep it in the fridge. The pouch doesn't take up much room, but you should be prepared for that. Matcha can also get a little messy because it's such finely ground tea, so you may want to open the pouch and scoop our your teaspoons over the sink.

A Healthy Boost
When I opened this package, I was immediately transported to my youth, lying on my back on the freshly mowed lawn. This tea has that scent of the grass back in New England. Grass here in Florida doesn't smell the same. At any rate, the scent is quite strong, though not unpleasant. This tea is culinary grade, so meant for cooking and such. It can be used for just making a cup of tea or a latte, but I don't personally like it that way. The taste is just as the scent, grassy. The powder also tends to clump a bit, so if you use it on its own for a cup of tea, be prepared to do a lot of mixing and use very hot water.Aside from the traditional cup of tea, the powder is perfect for adding a little flavor and extra health benefits to smoothies, shakes, regular tea, or any number of food and drink items. A little goes a long way, so you might need to experiment some to find the right amount for your taste buds.

Tasty and different for me
This was my first time trying matcha green tea. For years I had heard of the health benefits of using matcha. It's high in antioxidants and like regular green tea, is also supposed to give us a little bit of energy, which is always welcome. The description of 'earthy taste' is correct. I think at first I used too much because it was very strong tasting. I cut back a little and I like the flavor a lot now. I mix it in with hot milk and sweeten it just a bit and I am enjoying it. There are several different ways to use this. I haven't tried to use it in cooking recipes yet but I will.
